Ulsan Hotel Recommendation: Pool & Breakfast Review💫
Lahan Hotel Hyundai Ulsan (Dong-gu)✨
@ Photos & Words by Jjeong-i

Hi there! ~ !
Today, I'm excited to recommend a wonderful hotel in Ulsan
and share my review of the Lahan Hotel Hyundai in Dong-gu.
The Lahan Hotel Hyundai Ulsan is located
right next to HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Department Store,
and Ulsan University Hospital.
Because of this prime location, it's highly popular with business travelers.
But honestly, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the rooms,
making it absolutely perfect for a relaxing staycation in Ulsan..!‼️✨

If you love swimming,
this is an amazingly budget-friendly spot to enjoy the pool!
The deep end actually goes up to 1.5m. 🏊
Our package included breakfast for two + pool access for two,
and we spent one night in a Premium Suite Twin.
The rate was only around ~$130 for a weekend night, which was incredibly cheap.
It was the perfect place for a cozy hotel getaway,
so let me share some insider tips on how to book it at the absolute best rate.

I booked my stay through Agoda.
I compared several different booking sites,
but Agoda definitely offered the cheapest rates.

Check-in: 3:00 PM,
Check-out: 11:00 AM.
The hotel goes up to 12 floors.
Our room was the Premium Suite Twin,
and since it's a suite, it comes with a separate living area, making it feel super spacious.
2. Premium Suite Twin Room Review

Room 1108.

I've stayed in three different room types at the Lahan Hotel Ulsan:
▪ Premium Suite Twin (our room for this stay)
▪ Premium Suite Double
▪ Deluxe Suite Twin (great because of the wooden flooring)
Out of those, the Premium Suite Twin we stayed in this time
was my absolute favorite because the bathroom was twice as large as the other rooms!
As you can see in the photo above, the bathroom stretches all the way from the entryway
right through to the bedroom.

Right opposite the bathroom entrance by the foyer,
there is a massive walk-in closet.
It was incredibly spacious, with more than enough room for all of our luggage and clothes.

This is the bedroom,
and the other bed is located in the living room.

The bathroom has a convenient dual-access layout, connecting to both the bedroom and the entryway.
There were also separate TVs in both the bedroom and the living room.

Having a bed in the living room might seem a bit unique,
but it actually worked out great by keeping things separate—
making it the perfect room setup for three guests.

As you'd expect from a hotel popular with business travelers,
the desk and chair were spacious and comfortable.

Over by the mini-fridge, they had two complimentary bottles of water,
along with drip coffee, green tea, and black tea ready for us.

I absolutely loved how spacious the bathroom was
in the Premium Suite Twin room! 👍
I assumed the Premium Suite Double room
would have the exact same bathroom layout, but it didn't—
it was only about half the size!
Even though both rooms are priced the same,
the twin room's bathroom was so much bigger...!

Shampoo / Conditioner / Body wash / Hand wash / Body lotion
were all provided.

The late-night room service menu options

This room sachet was a special touch—
it wasn't in the Deluxe Suite, but was exclusively provided in the Premium Suite.
One was placed right on the bed.
They were selling these at the bakery on the 1st floor for ~$3.

3. Lahan Hotel Ulsan Swimming Pool

Since photos are allowed in the pool area,
it’s the absolute perfect staycation spot for swimming enthusiasts!
The pool and sauna are located on the B1 level.
They are separate facilities,
so you will need individual entry tickets for each.

If you walk past the gym and head further inside,
you'll find the reception counter.

▪ Pool Hours: 05:30 AM – 09:30 PM
▪ Closed: 3rd Sunday of every month
▪ Swim cap required

Inside, there are 2 shower stalls, 2 hair dryers,
and they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, towels,
body lotion, toner, and moisturizer.
🧼 Note: Shower sponges/loofahs were not provided.
You can shower in your room and come down wearing your bathrobe,
or use the pool shower room to rinse off and change into your swimwear.

The deep end has a depth of a whopping 1.5 meters (4.9 ft)!
For someone my height, 165 cm (5'5"), the water came right up to my chin.
It was practically empty on weekdays,
but there were surprisingly more families during weekend evenings.
The pool is 18 meters long, and out of the 3 lanes,
one is designated for members only.

Taking videos of my swimming form,
having a quick reality check (shook! 😂), and wrapping up a solid swim session! zZ
Right after weekend check-in, it wasn't very crowded.
By weekend evening, families started coming in,
but weekdays were so empty that I felt like I had the whole pool to myself!
It was also pretty quiet the next morning. 😊
Pro tip: the absolute quietest time is after 11:00 AM.

There's a shallow kids' pool,
as well as a warm jacuzzi pool,
and in the deeper pool, children were allowed
as long as they wore life vests.
4. Breakfast Buffet

Breakfast is served from 06:30 AM to 09:30 AM.
Last entry: 9:00 AM

While the breakfast buffet didn't have an overwhelming variety of dishes,
everything was solid and tasted really good.
The selection remained the same on both weekdays and weekends.

The seating area was very spacious.

The star of the show was definitely the rice noodle soup (pho)—it was incredibly delicious.
Everyone in our group agreed it was amazing 😊👍
With fresh salmon, olives,
and even hot ox knee soup (dogani-tang),
it felt like a super healthy and nourishing start to the day.

And that's my review of Lahan Hotel Hyundai in Dong-gu,
a highly recommended stay for your trip to Ulsan.
I loved our 1-night stay in a wonderful room booked as a package deal—
it was great value for money, especially with breakfast included.
If you're visiting on business for Hyundai Heavy Industries,
staying at the Lahan Hotel is a must for the most convenient commute,
and I also highly recommend it to anyone who loves swimming
or is looking for a relaxing staycation in Dong-gu.
That wraps up my Ulsan hotel review.
