For the kickoff, the tour offers pickup from hotels and guesthouses within LA Koreatown. If you are staying outside this area, the main meeting spot is Hannam Chain Market. It is a great spot to grab some road trip snacks, drinks, and take a quick restroom break before hitting the road.
Our guide shared fascinating history about the Southwest and Nevada during the drive, making the journey super engaging right from the start.
In-N-Out Burger Lunch
Before heading to the Seven Magic Mountains, we stopped for a classic West Coast lunch at In-N-Out Burger. Since the meal was included in the tour price, there was no extra charge, and our guide helped us order like pros.
I ordered my favorite combo: a Double-Double burger with Animal Style fries. There is nothing quite like fresh, hot In-N-Out right off the grill!

Seven Magic Mountains
Located right in the middle of the Mojave Desert, Seven Magic Mountains is a vibrant art installation by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. It features seven towering stacks of colorful, painted boulders.
Seeing it in person feels incredibly surreal. The neon, fluorescent colors of the rocks contrast beautifully against the muted, sandy desert backdrop.

Cruising down the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, our guide pointed out the unique themes of each major resort and shared the fascinating history of how this desert oasis came to be. It definitely brought back memories of my trip to Macau!

We then headed to Downtown Las Vegas, the historic heart of the city. The Fremont Street Experience is absolutely mesmerizing, especially with its massive LED canopy show. It was recently upgraded to a state-of-the-art Viva Vision screen by LG, making the light show more vivid than ever.
💡 Note: The area can have a strong smell of smoke and cannabis, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to smells.

We wrapped up Day 1 with some retail therapy! The North Premium Outlets feature everything from designer labels to athletic brands. Our only regret was having just about an hour of free time here.

I browsed through Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger. While the current exchange rates did not make things dirt cheap, there were still some great deals to be found.
