LA Dodgers Game Guide 2026: Tickets, Seating & Stadium Travel
Catching an LA Dodgers game in 2026 is a must-do for any sports fan visiting Los Angeles! Learn how to snag tickets, navigate the stadium, and enjoy a pre-game happy hour.

Hello everyone, this is Ongsang.
If you're planning a trip to LA,
you absolutely have to include a sports game –
whether it's baseball or basketball –
in your itinerary!
I don't usually follow Major League Baseball often,
but I was so eager to see Shohei Ohtani in person
that I made my way to Dodger Stadium.
It would have been even better if I could have seen
Kim Hye-seong as well....
but he was in Triple-A, so...
unfortunately, I didn't get to see him live.
I'm going to share everything about how to get to Dodger Stadium,
and how to book tickets!
Happy Hour at 33 Taps before the game

I'd heard a lot about how expensive food and beer are inside the stadium,
so to satisfy my hunger and grab a drink,
I stopped by 33 Taps in Silver Lake first.
📍 33 Taps Silver Lake
3725 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA
Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM,
and then again from 9:30 PM until closing.
I visited on a Monday!
I was surprised to see so many people already
dressed in Dodgers gear!
Everyone was filling up on food and drinks
before heading to the game just in time for the start!
During Happy Hour, the food is affordable,
and the beer ($5) and cocktails ($8) are incredibly well-priced.

I tried the chicken tacos and highly recommend them!
After enjoying my meal and a beer during Happy Hour,
I hopped in an Uber and made my way to the stadium.

There's a designated drop-off spot,
so you just get off there and follow the crowd
up to the stadium.

Book tickets on the official website
I booked my tickets directly
on the official Dodgers website.
It was an English site, so I was a little nervous at first,
but it turned out to be much easier than I expected.

You can directly choose your desired date and seats,
and it's great that there are reference photos
showing you the view from your chosen spot.

Upper deck seats were perfectly satisfactory

The seats I booked were
Section 23RS / Row S
on the upper deck.
Honestly, before booking, I debated
whether to go for first-tier seats even if they were a bit more expensive.
But after experiencing it myself,
the upper deck was absolutely satisfying.
The photo below shows the view I captured
before heading up to the upper deck. You can use it as a reference for comparison.

From the upper deck, you get a full panoramic view of the entire stadium,
and it was great for observing the players' movements.
Especially if you're watching baseball live for the first time,
I actually think the upper deck is a good option for following the flow of the game.
Of course, there's a reason why the lower deck seats are more expensive, right? Haha!
You're really close to the players there! Haha!
It was quieter than I expected, which was even better

If you think about Korean baseball stadiums,
with their cheering squad leaders and cheerleaders,
Many people probably imagine an atmosphere
where cheering never stops.
Since I'm used to the atmosphere of Korean baseball stadiums,
I was initially surprised by how quiet
the cheering was.
During the game, there were many truly quiet moments,
and the spectators seemed to be focused on every single play.
In fact, thanks to that,
I was able to immerse myself more in the game itself
and truly experience the unique atmosphere
of Major League Baseball.
When cheering was needed, the crowd would shout in unison, and the atmosphere at that moment was a really fun experience, haha! They even do the wave.
An Even More Enjoyable Game Thanks to the Korean Heritage Night Jersey

I received a special gift: a Korean-lettered uniform of player Edman
that was distributed at the LA Korean Heritage Night event some time ago,
and when I wore it, people passing by kept saying, "Nice Jersey!" Haha!
Everyone, if you match your outfit,
whether it's a blue t-shirt or a jersey,
and wear it, it'll be even more fun! Haha!

Even though I had already had some drinks before arriving,
I also enjoyed a Dodgers commemorative
Dodgers Blonde Ale.
A can of beer inside the stadium costs
$16~$18.
I managed to resist and only had one, haha!
Don't Miss the Merchandise Shop!

Inside the stadium,
there are several large official merchandise shops.
They had such a wide variety of items,
from uniforms and hats to souvenirs, that I spent quite a while browsing.
I really wanted to buy an official uniform too,
but after seeing the price, I immediately let go of that thought.
A short-sleeved jersey was $150.
On this trip,
I successfully protected my wallet from becoming empty.
Still, just the fun of looking around
was satisfying enough.

There were so many kinds of hats too,
but I held back because I wanted to get one with my name embroidered at Lidz.
The Hardest Part Wasn't the Game, But Getting Home!

While the game itself was incredibly satisfying,
the hardest part was after it ended.
Even though I came down before the game completely ended,
I tried calling a ride-share,
but there were so many people that I couldn't get a car at all.

Ultimately, I left the stadium,
walked quite a distance down,
and then called a Waymo from the Silver Lake area to get back to my accommodation.
When I got back to Korea and looked it up,
I found out there's a round-trip Dodger Stadium pickup service!!!!!
If I had known in advance,
I definitely would have used this service.
Especially if it's your first time visiting,
I highly recommend preparing your transportation for after the game
in advance!!!
Book through the site that's cheaper
and you use more often out of the two!

Must-Know Before You Go! Leave Your Backpacks Behind
Before heading to Dodger Stadium,
there's one crucial thing you need to check:
It's the bag policy!
Regular backpacks or large bags
are not allowed inside the stadium.
According to the current official regulations,
transparent bags are permitted up to approximately 30×30×15cm,
while opaque bags, such as small clutches,
must be 13 × 20 × 5cm or smaller.
Because of these rules,
I only brought my English driver's license and one card
in my pocket.
(Be careful not to lose anything! 😉)
If you prepare in advance,
I highly recommend a Brandon anti-theft bag!
Especially if you're exploring LA and heading straight to the stadium,
be sure not to carry a backpack.
It's much more convenient to leave your luggage at the hotel
or prepare a small bag that meets the regulations from the start.
※ Bag regulations can change,
so please double-check the latest rules
on the official Dodgers website before your visit.
My Wrap-Up
Among all my plans for the LA trip,
this was the one I looked forward to the most,
and it turned out to be an even more satisfying experience than I expected!
I got to see Ohtani play in person,
and even witnessed the Dodgers win!
If you're planning a visit to Dodger Stadium,
make sure to get your tickets in advance,
and plan your transportation for after the game as well.
Doing so will make your live game experience
much more comfortable and enjoyable!
