Wandering through the charming alleys of Valencia, I stumbled upon a small cafe with a line of people waiting outside.
I was already craving a coffee, so I quickly looked up reviews and was amazed to see it had a perfect 5.0 rating.
There was no way I wasn't going to check it out!
Let me introduce you to Kofu, the cafe where I found my 'life coffee' in Valencia.

Kofu is nestled on a quiet corner in the heart of Valencia's old town.
The black-framed entrance contrasts beautifully with the white building facade, making it easily noticeable from a distance.
2. Inside Look & Menu

The cafe's interior blends warm wood tones with minimalist decor, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I particularly loved the adorable tiles!

At the counter, you'll find various coffee beans displayed, with detailed descriptions of the specific beans used in their grinders.

While Kofu is primarily a coffee specialist, they also offer delicious treats to complement your brew.

They sell cookies, brownies, and other pastries. We didn't try them, but reviews suggest their desserts are just as delicious as their coffee.

The original branch of Kofu is located in Castellón, a region north of Valencia. Since the main branch focuses on brunch, it makes sense that this city center location also offers high-quality desserts.

Coffee prices here are a bit higher compared to other cafes in Valencia.
However, I assure you, it's absolutely worth every penny!

They offer iced coffee, various teas, and fresh fruit juices in addition to their extensive coffee menu.
I'm not sure if it was just the barista working when I visited, but they prepare each coffee with incredible care and precision.
Because of this dedication, there can be a bit of a wait, so it's good to keep that in mind.
3. Beverage Review

I ordered a Café Latte (~$3), and my husband chose a Cortado (~$2).
When ordering, they asked if we wanted 'normal' milk, implying that milk alternatives are likely available.

A Cortado is a popular Spanish coffee, a strong brew with roughly a 1:1 ratio of coffee to milk, served in a cup slightly larger than an espresso shot.

First off, I was incredibly impressed by the delicate latte art and the dense, finely textured milk foam.
The rich, smooth milk foam enveloped the nutty flavor of the espresso, making for an incredibly satisfying sip.

Though it was an acidic coffee, it was truly delicious – I even found it more enjoyable than some coffees I've had in Italy. The numerous reviews praising it as the 'best coffee ever' certainly made sense!

The Cortado, with less milk than a latte, was also superb, allowing the rich, authentic flavor of the coffee to shine through. The balance between the strong espresso and creamy foam was perfect.
We enjoyed our takeaway coffees under the orange trees, and the blend of the coffee aroma with the sweet orange blossom scent created a truly perfect Spanish ambiance.
4. Conclusion

If you're a coffee lover, Kofu is an absolute must-visit during your trip to Valencia.
The rich, aromatic coffee, expertly prepared by skilled baristas, will undoubtedly enhance your travel experience.
I hope this post helps you plan a wonderful trip!
