Hotel Boli Keflavik Review 2026: Budget-Friendly Airport Stay

It's the final night of a month-long adventure across Iceland!

With an early 7:30 AM flight to Ireland looming, finding a convenient hotel near Keflavik Airport (KEF) was absolutely crucial.

Initially, I looked into hotels offering free shuttles, then expanded my search to those with paid shuttle services (like Konvin and Blue Viking Pods). Ultimately, we decided it was simpler to just call a taxi directly.

Given Iceland's famously high prices, booking an expensive place just to sleep felt like a waste. So, I dove deep into research, tirelessly scouring for the best value. That's how I stumbled upon Hotel Boli.

For four of us, the total came to around ~$170, which felt like a huge win in pricey Iceland! Add to that about ~$37 for the taxi fare.

With its excellent airport accessibility, spotless room conditions, and a communal kitchen, it’s an incredibly practical choice for your last night in Iceland.

Just a 5-Minute Drive from the Airport

The hotel is perfectly situated, only a 5-7 minute drive from the airport, which we found incredibly convenient!

There’s also parking right outside the building, making it super easy to unload luggage if you have a rental car. However, we had already returned our campervan and arrived on foot (via taxi).

Simple and Spotless Interior

Stepping inside, the immediate warmth was a welcome embrace, melting away the chill from outside.

The lounge, with its soft lighting, curved armchairs, and wooden tables, exuded a cozy, Nordic vibe, perfect for unwinding.

The hallway leading to the guest rooms was carpeted, ensuring a quiet atmosphere with no echoing footsteps.

It felt as if the hotel had been recently renovated, with a generally neat and clean ambiance shining through.

Hotel Boli operates on a 100% contactless self check-in system, meaning you’ll likely never encounter on-site staff.

You receive your room's access code via email beforehand. Simply enter it into the smart lock on your door, and it opens right up.

Comfortable and Spacious Common Areas

Honestly, if it had just been two of us, the room would have felt incredibly spacious with plenty of room for luggage.

However, since there were four of us, we used the sofa as an additional bed. This made the room a bit tighter, but considering the excellent value, it was a fantastic solution.

A large open closet near the entrance was especially handy for storing our belongings.

Shared Lounge, Kitchen & Unlimited Coffee

The lounge is equipped with a modern coffee machine.

The ability to enjoy unlimited coffee with just a touch was a small but delightful bonus.

While the hotel doesn't offer its own shuttle service, it's hardly a concern.

To wrap up an incredible Iceland trip affordably and comfortably, especially amidst those high Icelandic prices, I truly believe there's no better option than Hotel Boli.
