Karaksa Hotel Sapporo Odori Accommodation
Recommended Susukino Stay with a Public Bath
When looking for a hotel in Sapporo, travelers usually check out the Susukino area,
or near Odori Station and Sapporo Station.
Especially in winter, walking can be tough due to snow,
and travel times get longer,
so it's super important to find accommodation right in the city center.

Today, I'm excited to share my review of **Karaksa Hotel**, which is conveniently close to
**both Susukino and Odori Station**. Plus, the
**airport bus stop is right across the street**!
It's a fantastic value hotel that ticks all the boxes for accessibility, location, and room comfort.

Room Types

The room I stayed in was the **Standard Double Room**, which is their
most basic room type.
While typical business hotels in Japan are around 13m², this one boasts a
more spacious 16m²! It even has a **table perfect for laptop work**, and with a
**public bath and a 24-hour lounge**, my stay was incredibly comfortable.
Room Type | Size | Number of Beds |
Double Room | 16m² | 1 Queen Bed |
King Double / Twin Room | 21m² | 1 King / 2 Single Beds |
Japanese Family Room | 25m² | 4 Futon Sets |
Connect Room | 42m² | 4-6 Single Beds |
*From Family Rooms to Connect Rooms, they also have **rooms designed specifically for large families**.
Indeed, most guests I saw were group or family travelers.

I booked my stay in **early January for an incredibly low price of about ~$80**!
February, being peak season with the Snow Festival, you should expect to pay at least
**~$130 to ~$150+**.
Depending on the season, Agoda might have better deals, or it could be Trip.com.
So be sure to compare both sites before booking!

Standard Double Room

The Double Room features **one queen bed, a table and a chair,**
You'll find a TV and a hanger.
Amenities aren't actually placed directly in the room.
Instead, you can pick up everything you need from the 1st-floor lobby.

I loved that the charging ports and light switches on the bed frame could be accessed from both sides!

You'll find towels and bathrobes already neatly placed on your bed, matching the length of your stay.

Inside the TV cabinet, you'll find a mini-fridge, a coffee pot, and even an air purifier!
I found that when I opened my suitcase in this designated spot, there was still plenty of room to move around, which was fantastic!

The table was wonderfully spacious, perfect for enjoying a light meal or getting some work done on your laptop.

As this is the smallest room type, you'll need to store your shoes neatly under the hanger.
But on the bright side, this clever arrangement maximizes your usable space, which I was quite happy with!

The bathroom? It's your classic, clean, and functional hotel bathroom!
While not overly spacious, it was sparkling clean.
The Lounge

Karaksahotel boasts a fantastic 24-hour lounge on its second floor, meaning guests can pop in and relax anytime they wish!
With a fun playhouse for kids and a cozy Japanese-style tatami area, it's particularly popular with families on vacation, and you'll see why!

You can grab a complimentary welcome drink from the vending machine here, and the best part? A selection of snacks and desserts are also available for free!
The Grand Public Bath

Operating Hours: Dive in from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM, or unwind from 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM
(Heads up: 8-9 PM tends to be the busiest!)

You'll find the grand public bath on the 2nd floor, complete with an open-air bath.
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairdryers are all provided,
so you only need to bring a towel from your room!
Strategically located near Susukino Shopping Street and Don Quijote,
plus, renowned local restaurants like Suage and Masajin are literally just a minute's walk away —
Karaksa Hotel Sapporo truly has an unbeatable location!
It's also fantastic value for money, so you won't have to stress about the cost!
I absolutely recommend it!
