Jochiwon Peach Festival 2026 Review: Tips & Food Guide
Discover the best of the Jochiwon Peach Festival 2026! From mouthwatering peach sandos to crucial buying tips, here is how to make the most of your visit.
My very first summer since moving to Sejong,
and I heard all about Sejong's signature festival—
the 2026 Jochiwon Peach Festival.
Since it's a festival where you can taste and buy
Jochiwon's famous peaches, boasting 118 years of history,
I absolutely had to check it out. On Friday afternoon, the very first day of the festival,
my husband and I headed over to Dodori Park.

To give you the quick spoiler:
there was so much to see, so much to eat,
and the scale of the festival was way bigger than I expected!
But there is one crucial tip I absolutely must share with you.
If you plan on buying peaches,
as soon as you arrive at the festival venue,
buy your peaches first!
I didn't know this, which led to a slightly disappointing experience. (More on that later!)
Jochiwon Peach Festival: Essential Info & Parking
Event Info | Details |
Festival Name | The 24th Sejong Jochiwon Peach Festival |
Dates | July 24 – 26, 2026 |
Venue | Dodori Park & Sejong Citizen's Stadium |
Admission | Free |
Parking | Temporary parking lots available |

Right at the entrance of the festival grounds, there's an information booth.
You can rent parasols here to block the summer sun,
and grab a map of the event venue.
While we were there, I saw someone ask one of the staff,
"Where can I buy the peaches?" and immediately make a beeline
straight for the sales booth.
I did plan on buying some peaches eventually,
but I figured it would be fine to look around first and buy them later.
Looking back now,
I should have followed them right then and there!
Jochiwon Peach Festival: The Bakery Zone

The festival grounds were divided into various areas like the Bakery Zone, Dessert Zone,
Food Truck Zone, and Hands-on Activity Zone.
Naturally, my husband and I started our tour with the Bakery Zone.

Although the Bakery Zone was on the smaller side,
it featured Sejong's very own famous Panchaud Bakery.

They were selling a variety of fruit sandos (cream sandwiches),
and we ordered the peach sando (~$5).

With its sweet dacquoise, rich cream,
and fresh peaches, it was absolutely delicious!
Sweet Treats Galore: The Peach Festival Dessert Zone

Since it's mid-summer,
the weather was incredibly hot even later in the evening.
Perhaps because of the heat,
the Food Truck Zone was quieter than I expected.
They had plenty of options like sweet crispy chicken (dakgangjeong), hot dogs, and steak rice bowls,
but we decided to just
breeze through and look around.

On the other hand, the Dessert Zone
was overflowing with all kinds of peach-infused treats!
From peach cupcakes,
shakes, and puddings to peach wine and makgeolli (rice wine),
the sheer variety made it so much fun just to browse.

Peach Slushie ~$2
Peach Ade ~$3
To beat the heat,
we ordered a peach slushie and a peach ade.
Honestly, we didn't have super high expectations,
but both drinks had a incredibly rich, natural peach flavor. So refreshing!

Right next to the Dessert Zone,
there was a giant peach photo zone,
with a long line of people waiting to take pictures.
The perfect spot to snap a proof shot of your festival visit, right? Haha.
Jochiwon Peach Festival Food Market Review

At the local food market run by community elders,
they were selling classic Korean festival dishes like kimchi pancakes, sundae (blood sausage), and yeolmu guksu (cold young summer radish kimchi noodles).
We decided to order the unique Peach Yeolmu Guksu (~$5).

It was topped with shredded peaches,
but the taste itself was just like standard summer radish noodles. haha
The noodles were a little overcooked,
but eating them at a festival made even that feel like part of the fun.
When else would I ever get to try radish noodles topped with peaches!
The Experience Zone had way more to see than I expected

In the experience zone, there were various peach-themed crafts like Seul-angi and keychains,
where you could make your own peach merchandise.
I really wanted to try making a Seul-angi, but I held myself back...

Wangcheon Padak, famous as a local Jochiwon favorite,
had a booth right next to the experience zone.
(A bit curious why it was in the experience zone, though!)
If you've been curious about Wangcheon Padak,
trying it here at the festival is a great option.
Buy your peaches first!

After taking a good look around the festival,
we finally headed over to the peach sales market.
At the Jochiwon Peach Festival,
you first pay for a purchase voucher,
and then exchange it for the actual box of peaches.

On-Site Peach Sales Prices
7–8 peaches: ~$18
9–10 peaches: ~$15
11–12 peaches: ~$13

By the time I got there,
the largest 7–8 peach size was completely sold out,
and there were only 5 boxes left of the 9–10 size by the time we went to exchange our voucher.
Only then did I realize why the people rushing straight to buy peaches
were hurrying so much.

At the Jochiwon Peach Festival,
they run a dedicated peach storage service.
If you leave your box at the storage,
you can enjoy the festival comfortably and pick them up before you leave.
So if you are planning to buy peaches,
make sure to buy your peaches as soon as you arrive!
Tons of Fun Things to Do at the Jochiwon Peach Festival

At the Jochiwon Peach Festival,
there is a water play zone featuring pools
and exciting water slides.
Seeing the kids running around and playing happily
in the water looked incredibly refreshing.

Mist sprays were constantly running throughout the venue
to help cool everyone down,
and air-conditioned cooling shelters were also set up on one side.
We really felt the summer heat while walking around, so
having these spots to take a break was a huge plus.
We headed back right after buying our peaches, but
in the evening, there is a Peach Beer Night
and performances by guest stars like Hong Jin-young and Park Myung-soo,
so dropping by later in the evening would also be a blast.

📍 Dodori Park Rural Theme Park
27, Munyehoegwan-gil, Jochiwon-eup, Sejong
This Sejong Jochiwon Peach Festival
was the very first festival we visited after moving to our new place.
It was much larger in scale and had far more to enjoy
compared to other local festivals I've experienced, making it super fun.
With delicious food, hands-on activities, performances, and water play all in one place,
it would make a wonderful spot for a family outing
or a lovely date with your significant other.

Best of all, getting to buy Jochiwon's famous local specialty peaches
directly from the source at a very reasonable price
was the biggest highlight of the festival.
Just make sure to remember this one thing!
If you go to the Jochiwon Peach Festival,
before you do anything else,
buy your peaches first!
If you think "Oh, I'll just buy them later~" like I did,
you might completely miss out on the size you want!
