During our family trip to the Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival, we were exploring the beautiful blossoms around Jungwon Rotary. As we headed back to our car, our child suddenly needed a restroom. We quickly ducked into the first coffee shop we saw, hoping for a quick stop and a cup of coffee. That's how we stumbled upon Coffee Jaeng-i.

You know that feeling when you accidentally walk into a restaurant that turns out to be an amazing culinary find, or a cafe where the coffee or dessert is simply divine? It feels like pure luck, doesn't it?
That's exactly the vibe we got from Coffee Jaeng-i. Let's take a peek inside.

From the moment you step in, it's clear this is a place serious about coffee, and that the owner has a deep passion for music. We spotted various photography and audio equipment around the space.

The large speakers adorning one wall filled the cafe with classical music, enhancing the already wonderful atmosphere. Naturally, I couldn't help but wonder about their value! Taking a chance, I discreetly asked the owner, who revealed the speakers alone were worth approximately ~$5,800. It's clear their dedication to music is as strong as their dedication to coffee.

Beyond the impressive speakers, the walls were also richly decorated with a vast collection of records.

Even in photos, you can feel the classic charm radiating from every corner.

Even the floral arrangements were thoughtfully done with fresh flowers.

As someone who loves grinding my own beans and enjoying a fresh hand-drip, I have a special appreciation for cafes like this. It reminds me of the fantastic Bohemian Coffee Shop I visited in Gangneung.

Through the door in the center, we could see the magic happening – the coffee roasting area.

Coffee Jaeng-i at Jungwon Rotary offers a fantastic selection of diverse coffee beans, allowing you to explore a variety of flavors. They also sell their roasted beans separately, perfect for bringing the experience home.

Here's a glimpse into their roasting room.
We were recommended Costa Rican and Papua New Guinean beans. After trying both, I personally preferred the Papua New Guinea for its richer, more robust body.

The cafe is filled with an array of classic ornaments, making it quite enjoyable to simply look around and take in the decor.

Now, allow me to introduce you to Coffee Jaeng-i's adorable mascot!
Meet Latte, a truly lovely and gentle dog.

Here's Latte, calmly nestled in someone's arms.

True to her role as the cafe's mascot, her name is indeed Latte!

My family all adore animals, and we'd love to have a dog or cat, but my oldest child has pet dander allergies, so unfortunately, we can't. It's always a treat to meet friendly cafe pets like Latte!
This wraps up our visit to Coffee Jaeng-i, a truly satisfying hand-drip coffee haven near Jinhae's Jungwon Rotary. From the delicious coffee to the captivating music and charming ambiance, everything exceeded our expectations after a serendipitous stop.
Coffeejaeng-i operates from 10 AM to 9 PM. The shop is closed on the second, fourth, and fifth weeks of every month.
