Jimbaran InterContinental Resort
Bali Resort Honeymoon Recommendation: InterContinental Breakfast, Pool, and Lounge
© Summer | Words & Photos

Craving a relaxing, slow-paced staycation in Bali,
I stayed at the InterContinental Resort,
located in the Jimbaran area right next to the airport.
True to its 5-star rating, everything from the lobby to the pool and breakfast
boasted such high standards of facilities and service
that just staying inside the resort was pure healing in itself.
Instead of a standard room, I booked a Club Lounge Access Room
to enjoy an even more premium staycation experience! 😊
1. Jimbaran InterContinental

📍 InterContinental Bali Resort
Jl. Raya Uluwatu No.45, Jimbaran, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361 Indonesia
📍 Ngurah Rai International Airport
Jl. Airport Ngurah Rai, Tuban, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361 Indonesia
While Ubud and Canggu are usually the most famous spots in Bali,
if you're looking for a relaxing staycation
or looking for the perfect Bali honeymoon resort,
the InterContinental Bali Resort is definitely worth considering.
It's incredibly close—just a 15 to 20-minute drive from the airport—
and since it's right on the beach, you get stunning views of both sunrise and sunset.
It was truly the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful getaway! ✨

When you take a taxi from the airport and arrive at the entrance,
you're greeted with warm hospitality from the staff before stepping into the lobby.
In the grand, spacious lobby, I saw other travelers checking in
or relaxing on the comfortable sofas.

Since I booked a Club Room with access to the Club Lounge,
I was guided to a private lounge to check in
while sipping on a refreshing welcome drink
and lounging comfortably on the sofa.
They even had sparkling wine as a welcome drink option... 🤍
2. Premium Club Lounge Access Garden View

The room I stayed in was the InterContinental Resort's
Premium Club Lounge Access Garden View.
The room was incredibly spacious, and the balcony view of the lush gardens was so beautiful.
It would be wonderful to visit with friends or parents,
and I'd highly recommend it as a Bali honeymoon destination as well.

For the bed setup, you can choose between one king bed or two single beds.
You can choose whichever you prefer,
and since I was traveling with a friend,
we split them into two single beds for a super comfortable stay.
The bedding was crisp, clean, and so cozy—we rested incredibly well :)

There was also a plush sofa, and on the table,
they had laid out fresh fruit, sweet desserts,
and even a personalized welcome card with my friend's and my names on it.
From the entrance to check-in, and all the way to our room,
we felt incredibly welcomed and pampered every step of the way 🥹

There was also a separate vanity table, which was perfect for setting up cosmetics
and made getting ready in the morning so convenient.

If you open the drawers under the TV, you'll find all sorts of amenities.
Coffee, tea, and tea bags are complimentary,
while the alcohol, drinks, and snacks are available for a fee.
Still, being able to enjoy them whenever we wanted without stepping outside
made it the perfect addition to a relaxing resort staycation.

They even have wine glasses ready,
so if you're staying here for a Bali honeymoon,
it's the perfect setup to unwind with a glass of wine.

The Premium Garden Room's balcony view is pure art,
so lounging on the daybed with a cup of morning coffee
is absolute bliss in itself.

The landscape blended beautifully with nature,
and we even spotted herons every now and then haha.

At night, we lay down to watch the stars—resort life at its finest.

Just before walking into the bathroom,
you'll find a dressing room area with a luggage rack spacious enough
to easily fit two 24-inch suitcases side-by-side.
There were plenty of hangers available,
so we hung up our long dresses and easily wrinkled clothes.

The bathroom at the InterContinental Bali Resort
had a luxurious vibe with warm wood-toned marble,
featuring double sinks and a spacious bathtub.
There was also a separate shower booth.

The water quality in Bali can be a bit tricky,
so you have to be careful even when rinsing your mouth after brushing,
but they provided plenty of bottled water so we could use it worry-free.
They restock bottled water every time you request housekeeping!

The basic bath amenities—including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion—
were all Byredo products,
which made me so happy! :)
3. Club Lounge

The reason I highly recommend the InterContinental Bali Resort
for a staycation or a Bali honeymoon
is because you can enjoy the amazing Club Lounge benefits! .ᐟ
InterContinental Bali Resort Club Lounge | |
Breakfast | 6:30 ~ 10:30 |
Afternoon Tea | 14:00 ~ 16:00 |
Evening Cocktails | 17:00 ~ 19:00 |
Light Snacks & Non-alcoholic Drinks | 18:30 ~ 23:00 |

I made sure to get the absolute most out of the lounge throughout my stay.
For Afternoon Tea, they serve a lovely selection of pastries and sandwiches,
which my roommate and I thoroughly enjoyed as a sweet afternoon treat.
With a great variety of drinks including wine and coffee,
you can customize your afternoon tea experience exactly to your liking! ☕

The evening session was another highlight of my stay.
I loved sipping on a glass of wine while watching the stunning sunset.

At the mini buffet, you can help yourself to light bites
like cheese, bread, pudding, and various finger foods.
The staff would occasionally bring over fresh canapés,
and when I was sitting by myself, they'd strike up friendly small talk.
Their warm and attentive hospitality made the whole experience so satisfying! 😊
4. Breakfast

At the InterContinental Bali Resort,
there is a main breakfast restaurant open to all guests,
but they also run a separate breakfast venue exclusively for Club Lounge guests.
So, I decided to try the Club Lounge breakfast one day
and the main restaurant the next.
The Club Lounge felt much more private and serene,
with an extra touch of premium, personalized service.

While the Club Lounge breakfast has a slightly smaller buffet selection
compared to the main restaurant,
you can order main dishes cooked to order from an à la carte menu,
which made the overall quality of the meal incredibly satisfying.

From toast, pancakes, and waffles to fresh fruit and smoked salmon,
everything—including coffee, fresh juice, and tea—is served directly to your table.
It was so nice to just sit back, relax, and be pampered without having to run back and forth to the buffet.

One standout dish for me was actually the Korean Bulgogi!
I ordered it without expecting much, but it was absolutely delicious.
If you're planning a stay at this Bali resort,
you absolutely have to order the Bulgogi for breakfast! 🥹
5. Swimming Pools

The InterContinental Bali Resort features
a total of six swimming pools, and Club Room guests get exclusive access
to the Club InterContinental Pool.
Since it's never too crowded, you can enjoy a peaceful swim,
and because it's a quiet, adults-only zone,
it offers the perfect, tranquil atmosphere to unwind and recharge.

Of course, if you're looking for an even bigger pool,
you can always head over to the main pool right next to it.
The main pool is much more spacious, and with the ocean opening up right in front of you,
it has a completely different, wonderful charm!

There are paths all over the resort leading directly down to the beach,
making it so easy to go for an ocean swim
or catch a stunning sunrise or sunset :)
6. Sunset Restaurant

The resort features various dining options, including Japanese and Western cuisines,
but the absolute highlight was the Sunset Restaurant!
Located right on Jimbaran Beach,
it's the perfect spot to watch the golden hour unfold. Delicious food,
live music, and the sound of waves—it was pure romance .. ❤

On top of that, there's a spa, gym, café, souvenir shop, and more—
with so many amazing facilities,
even a whole day spent just inside the resort isn't enough.
If you're planning a relaxing staycation like I did,
I highly recommend booking a Club Room at the InterContinental Bali Resort.
They currently have a "Stay 3 Nights, Pay for 2" promotion running,
making it the absolute perfect choice for a Bali honeymoon!
