Sapporo Flight Deals 2026: Direct Flights & Booking Tips

While looking for flights to Sapporo,

I stumbled upon December prices that were surprisingly good!

I'd heard so many stories about how expensive winter flights to Sapporo are,

I was honestly expecting to pay somewhere around ~$370 to ~$444.

But then I tried putting in dates for December 8th-11th,

and a direct round-trip from Incheon to Sapporo popped up for just ~$267...!

What's even better, it's not some awkward red-eye flight;

the outbound flight is in the 10 AM range, and the return flight is in the 11 AM range.

Plus, 15kg of checked baggage is included,

so if I were you, I'd be seriously considering this deal right now! lol

So, I decided to check out flights for January and February too,

along with how to snag discounts on Trip.com.

I even compared how much difference it makes if you book your hotel together with your flight.

I looked at everything!

1. Sapporo Flight Prices

The itinerary I compared this time is a 3-night, 4-day trip

from December 8th to 11th, 2026.

The round-trip price I found on Trip.com was

~$267 per person.

What really won me over wasn't just the cheap price!!!

(Exactly my kind of flight deal!!)

The outbound flight departs at 10:20 AM,

landing in Sapporo at 1:10 PM.

Even after you drop off your luggage at your accommodation,

you'll have plenty of time to explore and enjoy your first day until evening.

The return flight also departs at 11:00 AM,

so no need to rush to the airport at the crack of dawn! haha

Most importantly, 15kg of checked baggage is already included,

which is a huge plus for a Sapporo trip where you'll be packing lots of winter clothes.

If a flight is only ~$15 to ~$22 cheaper,

but you have to add baggage separately,

the final price might actually end up being quite similar.

2. Direct Airlines

The flight combination I found this time was

T'way Air for the outbound leg and Jeju Air for the return.

The outbound journey is approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes,

and the return is around 3 hours and 25 minutes.

Instead of insisting on booking a round-trip with the exact same airline,

I always lean towards combinations that offer the best overall conditions

when you factor in price, departure/arrival times, and checked baggage.

This particular flight deal really stood out because

both the outbound and return times were perfectly reasonable.

Even if it's the absolute lowest price,

if you're departing at dawn or arriving late at night,

you might not be able to fully enjoy a night at your hotel,

or you could end up paying extra for taxi fares due to inconvenient airport transfers, you know?

When you factor all that in,

I think a flight in the ~$267 range with these timings looks pretty fantastic!

3. Winter Price Comparison

But then I got curious: just how expensive

are winter flights to Sapporo, really?

So, using the same 3-night, 4-day trip as a benchmark,

I looked up the lowest prices for December, January, and February.

Wow... haha!

In early December, it was in the ~$267 range, but

In January, prices would climb to the ~$444 range.

February also saw prices in the ~$407 range,

resulting in about a ~$148 difference per person compared to December.

If you consider two people traveling,

the difference in airfare alone could be nearly ~$296.

Of course, if abundant snow in January-February

and the peak winter Hokkaido atmosphere are your goals,

it would be right to go during that period, even if it means paying more.

But if peak winter isn't a must-have for you,

I'd definitely compare the prices in early December as well, haha.

Especially for family trips, the more people there are,

the bigger the difference in airfare becomes!

4. How to Book with a Discount

Don't just pay ~$267

right away, lol!

if you calculate a direct 3% discount,

that's about ~$8 off, bringing the price down to the ~$250 range.

For airfare, if you book for two or more people,

like a family or couple, the discount amount also increases.

However, whether the discount code can be applied,

and the final discount amount can vary depending on booking conditions,

so it's best to enter the code before payment

and verify the actual final price.

Also, for special offer flights,

make sure to check the change and cancellation fee conditions.

5. Flight + Hotel Packages

And another thing that caught my eye

this time was the flight + hotel bundles.

I was initially just looking for Sapporo flights,

but I tried adding a hotel for the same December 8th-11th itinerary.

Depending on the hotel,

the difference compared to booking separately was quite significant.

Based on the comparison prices shown on screen,

the discount rates varied quite a bit between hotels.

Especially for Hotel Emion Sapporo,

there was a difference of about ~$252 compared to booking separately...!

(At this rate, the airfare is practically free, lol!)

At this point, it's definitely worth checking out the hotel bundles

before just booking your flight alone, haha!

While it's not always cheaper to book flight + hotel,

if you're already planning to book accommodation,

make sure to compare the price with booking separately.

If I were you, and the difference was more than ~$74,

I'd check the hotel's location and cancellation policy before deciding.

6. Summary

This time, the Incheon-Sapporo round trip flight

for December 8th-11th was ~$267.

It was a direct flight with good timings,

and even included 15kg of checked baggage,

so I found the conditions more appealing

than just a cheap flight alone.

What's more, when compared to January's ~$444 range

and February's ~$407 range,

it seems that early December travel is a pretty great option

if you don't absolutely need to go during the peak winter season.
