il Prossimo Debrecen Review: Authentic Wood-Fired Pizza

Honestly, finding truly amazing restaurants in Debrecen can be a bit of a challenge.

When I first moved here, I ended up cooking at home almost every single day.

But things have changed!

Today, I want to introduce you to my absolute favorite spot that I've been visiting weekly.

The Location

Opening Hours

Mon - Thu: 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM

Fri - Sat: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Sun: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Open daily (but always a good idea to double-check Google Maps before heading out).

There is no afternoon break time,

though the opening hours can occasionally vary slightly.

They do have outdoor tables set up,

but since it’s right next to the road, there isn’t much of a view to enjoy.

Inside, the space is cozy, featuring a mix of standard dining tables and high bar seating.

The massive wood-fired pizza oven is located right next to the entrance,

and here is a quick look at the clean, minimalist table setup.

For the restroom,

you can use the facilities at Next Bistro, which is located right next door.

The restroom is incredibly clean and well-maintained.

👍 Since free public restrooms are rare in Europe,

it’s always a smart move to use it before you head back out!

The Menu

My absolute top two favorite pizzas here are:

1. Quattro Formaggi (Four-Cheese Pizza)

2. Gamberetto (Shrimp Pizza)

But what makes this place truly legendary is...

THE DOUGH! Yes, the crust!

Usually, I’m the type of person who leaves the pizza crust behind.

Most places make it too heavy, floury, and bland.

But here, it’s completely different.

Some days, I actually look forward to eating the crust more than the toppings themselves!

Just writing about it makes me crave it again.

My Verdict & Summary

Taste: ★★★★★

Return Intention: 100% Yes!

If you ever find yourself in Debrecen, you absolutely must try this place.

And if you want to take your pizza to the next level,

you need to try these table oils!

They offer Chili Oil & Garlic Oil.

These oils are the perfect palate cleansers when the cheese starts to feel a bit too rich.

They keep things fresh and exciting with every bite.

Start by savoring the rich toppings, enjoy the airy texture of the dough,

and then drizzle some of the chili or garlic oil over the crust to finish.

It completely elevates the flavor profile!
