Many diverse and creative cultural products were on display. I noticed a lot of international tourists taking photos, captivated by the intricate designs.

With the rising popularity of Korean culture globally, I thought this would be a fantastic place to visit with international friends, offering a unique glimpse into Korean artistry.

Jewel Flowers

Another special exhibition featured these exquisite jewel flowers. Crafted from rose quartz, amethyst, jade, amber, and other gems, they delicately portray petals, stems, and leaves with diverse colors and textures. The unique brilliance of each gem, combined with the lighting, created a truly mystical atmosphere.

You can also marvel at a wide variety of raw gemstones. It's a fantastic spot for a weekend outing with the family.

Iksan Mireuksa Stone Pagoda

Personally, this exhibit was the absolute highlight of the Jewel Museum for me. The Mireuksa Stone Pagoda, originally built during the reign of King Mu of Baekje, is one of the largest and oldest stone pagodas in Korea, and an absolute must-see when you visit Iksan.

This particular artwork is a meticulously scaled-down replica of that magnificent National Treasure, capturing its architectural details with stunning precision. For context, if a famous gold crown contains roughly 2.2 pounds (1 kg) of gold and is valued at approximately ~$124,200, then imagine the value of this Mireuksa Stone Pagoda replica, crafted with an incredible 17 pounds (7.7 kg) of pure gold – an estimated value of nearly ~$956,500!
