When searching for a family-friendly hotel in Guam,

there’s actually quite a lot to consider.

(Though I suppose that's true for any international trip!)

For our trip to Guam,

I chose our hotel based primarily on these four things:

1️⃣ Is it close to the airport?

2️⃣ Does it have a great pool for kids to play in?

3️⃣ Can we easily get meals inside the hotel?

4️⃣ Is it convenient to get around without renting a car?

Super Close to the Airport: Hyatt Regency Guam

Guam is famous as a kid-friendly resort destination thanks to its relatively short flight (around 4 hours),

but if the drive to the hotel is too long once you land,

both parents and kids will be completely worn out.

The Hyatt Regency is

only about a 10-minute drive from Guam Airport,

so we arrived in the blink of an eye after landing!

When you're traveling with little ones,

a short commute like this is a massive game-changer.

The Hyatt Regency Guam Pool

Another reason why the Hyatt Regency

is so frequently recommended for family trips

is hands down because of its pool!

It’s not just your standard hotel pool—

it’s designed as a massive, resort-style pool complex,

perfect for spending the entire day relaxing right at the resort.

👙 A layout with multiple interconnected pools

🏝️ Tropical landscaping with waterfalls and cave features

🏖️ Plenty of natural shade

🩴 And a layout designed to prevent crowding

Since we were traveling with our kid,

the pool was naturally where we spent

most of our time,

and having a dedicated, shallow kids' pool area

meant we could play together with total peace of mind.

My daughter absolutely loved it,

and it makes things so much less stressful for parents!

I’ve seen so many reviews saying they’d go back just for the pool,

and I am 100% one of them! Haha! 😄

Direct Access to a Private Beach

Right in front of the pool,

there's direct access to a private-feeling stretch

of beautiful Tumon Beach.

The waves are incredibly calm,

the water is shallow,

making it absolutely perfect for building sandcastles!

And of course, you can go snorkeling here too.

The layout is designed so you can float between the pool and the ocean

to make the absolute most of your day!

Like my family...

No, actually,

like my daughter,

if your family loves splashing and playing in the water,

I highly recommend this hotel! You'll absolutely love it~!

Hotel Amenities & Facilities

Since there are several restaurants right inside the hotel,

you don't have to wander far

to grab a delicious bite!

Thanks to this, on days we felt too lazy to step out,

we just dined at the hotel restaurants haha.

A Superb Location (No Car Rental Needed!)

This was another aspect we were incredibly happy with!

Hyatt Regency Guam is

located right in Tumon, the heart of Guam's tourist hub,

so the surrounding area is extremely convenient.

👟 Spots Within Walking Distance

✔️ T Galleria by DFS (Sadly, it's currently closed 😭)

✔️ Various shopping malls

✔️ Famous restaurants and cozy cafes

✔️ Convenience stores, supermarkets, etc.

When it got too hot during the day,

we'd head over to the malls to cool off in the AC

and pass the time. It was perfect!

Hyatt Regency Guam Rooms

When you're traveling with family, room size is super important, right?

At the Hyatt Regency,

the rooms themselves are remarkably spacious,

so there was plenty of room even with multiple suitcases laid wide open.

✔️ Gorgeous ocean view room

✔️ A layout where you can see the ocean right from the terrace!

On top of that,

we requested a high floor, a non-smoking room, and a bed guard for our child,

and they accommodated every single request! Hehehe

For a family trip to Guam,

more than any sightseeing spot,

I felt that choosing the right hotel

completely determines how happy you'll be with the trip.

Hyatt Regency Guam is

a resort that checked every single box for a family trip, from airport accessibility, pools, location, dining, to ocean views!

It had everything we needed for a perfect family vacation!

Especially,

if you want a comfortable, stress-free Guam trip with your kids,

I highly, highly recommend it~!

As a side note, based on the exchange rate at the time,

the price for a 3-night stay

cost me around ~$1,274... T_T

But after doing a bit of online digging,

I saw prices in the ~$640 range for 3 nights!

( Approx. ~$224 per night )

Peak season slots fill up incredibly fast,

so if you've set your travel dates, make sure to check them out in advance!
