If you look up pool villas in Hongcheon,

'11914 Pool Villa' pops up quite often as a top recommendation.

Honestly, I booked it just based on the photos at first,

but once we arrived, it was actually even better than the pictures!

Because it's structured with detached, independent villas,

you are completely separated from other guests,

making it a super private retreat with only 7 exclusive rooms in total.

The Penthouse (Pent) room we stayed in

is the most spacious and highest-tier suite

at '11914 Villa.'

And since it's sitting right at the very top of the property,

the view was absolutely breathtaking...!!

Rooms & Spaces

As soon as we stepped into the Pent room,

we were absolutely blown away by how massive it is.

They even use Hungarian goose down bedding,

which felt incredibly cozy and luxurious, just like a 5-star hotel!!

There are two bedrooms,

and each one comes with its own private bathroom.

The bathrooms aren't cramped at all—

they are super spacious and beautifully designed,

leaving absolutely zero room for discomfort.

There were four of us, and having two separate shower areas

meant we didn't have to wait around to get ready.

Plus, with two bathrooms in the bedrooms and another one in the living room,

there was never a queue when duty called!

When you're searching for a villa in Hongcheon for a group of 4 or more, or for a family trip,

the number of rooms and bathrooms is always a dealbreaker.

In that sense, this place was absolutely perfect.

No morning rushes, no playing rock-paper-scissors for the shower,

and everyone could just relax in their own space.

We truly loved the layout! :)

The living room and kitchen were also very spacious, and the dining table was so long

that the four of us could sit comfortably without feeling squished at all.

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, with plenty of tableware,

a rice cooker, a water purifier, and a microwave all ready to go.

They also had a capsule coffee machine,

and since they provided plenty of capsules,

it was so nice to enjoy a cup of coffee both morning and night!!

The Room View

There is a massive, full-length window,

and the view is absolutely insane.

You can see the Hongcheon River right in front of you,

and with such an open, panoramic landscape stretching out,

I just stood there spacing out in awe the moment we walked in.

It was early June, so the beautiful weather made it look even more stunning.

Just sitting here with a cup of coffee

was pure healing in itself.

Since it’s a private, detached villa,

we didn't have to worry about neighboring rooms at all.

Knowing this space was entirely ours

made the whole experience feel so much more relaxing.

BBQ & Fire-Gazing

We had a BBQ in the evening.

The grill was a bit unique,

but it was absolutely perfect for grilling meat.

The charcoal lasted a long time, and it didn't produce much smoke at all!!

Between setting up the grill, cooking the meat,

and the four of us eating and drinking together,

before we knew it, the sun was already setting.

Even before it got completely dark, the vibe was absolutely incredible!!

After the BBQ, we had a fire-gazing session,

and this was hands down the highlight of the trip.

Since it was still early June,

the night got a bit chilly,

but the fire was so strong and warm!

Sitting there in silence, just staring into the flames—

that peaceful, spacing-out time

was exactly the kind of rest that's so hard to find in daily life these days.

Thanks to the private villa setup, we didn't have to worry about anyone else's eyes

and could enjoy our own fully private space.

Strolling along the Hongcheon River

Since the Hongcheon River is right near the villa,

we went for a quick walk during the day.

The riverside was so peaceful, and the scenery was so beautiful

that just walking there felt incredibly healing.

We saw quite a few families enjoying net fishing and camping,

and the overall atmosphere

felt incredibly relaxed and warm.

There was nothing artificial about it;

it was just pure, untouched nature, which made it even better!!

A lot of people look for this place as a Hongcheon family villa,

and since it's right by the river, it would be absolutely perfect

to visit with kids.

The Ocean World Route

We actually visited Ocean World on the same day!

It's just a quick 10-minute drive from the villa,

so the route was super convenient.

Head out early in the morning, have a blast at Ocean World,

come back to the villa to freshen up and relax,

and then top it off with a BBQ and fire-gazing in the evening!

It was a truly perfect day.

so coming here in the winter to soak

in the warm water outdoors would be amazing.
