I just got back from a fantastic 3-night, 4-day trip to Gangwon-do in 2026.

And among all the places I stayed, I found the one where I had the best sleep ever:

1. Sokcho Hotel: Location and Parking

Home Marina Sokcho is perfectly situated:

📌 Just an 8-minute walk to Sokcho Beach

📌 Only a 3-minute walk to Sokcho Express Bus Terminal

📌 A quick 2 minutes to Cheongrangho Lake

All these amazing spots are just a stone's throw away from this wonderful

Sokcho Pool Hotel!

While it's a tower parking system,

they have valet attendants on hand,

so even if you're a new driver, absolutely no worries!

They patiently waited while I took my time getting all my luggage out.

Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor,

and you'll arrive at the reception area.

The lobby was bathed in warm sunlight,

making it feel so inviting and warm.

This Sokcho hotel even offers

sand play toy rentals!

They also have colorful and cute

warm-up suits available for purchase or rental,

so be sure to inquire if you need one!

The lobby was thoughtfully equipped with an ice machine, Omija ade (magnolia berry ade), herb tea, and a coffee machine.

There was even an ice bucket tucked away in the corner,

so you can grab ice to use in your room.

🥂 No worries at all when chilling your wine!!!!

After a clear explanation about using the pool and enjoying breakfast,

they handed me a helpful guide book.

After grabbing a self-serve welcome drink,

I'm off to check out the room!

We loved how spacious it was,

the Family Deluxe Cinema Room.

Imagine a proposal in this cinema room—

how incredibly romantic would that be! ✨

With both a queen bed and a single bed,

it's great not only for couples

but also for families!

The beds are Simmons Beautyrest Black, so we slept like babies!

Everything is perfectly prepared, from a coffee machine and refrigerator to an electric kettle and heating appliances.

With a sofa and a table,

it was great for enjoying late-night snacks,

Shower gowns, body towels, room slippers,

shampoo, conditioner, body wash,

hand wash, and even body cream

are all provided,

so you only need to pack your swimsuit, foam cleanser, toothbrush, and toothpaste,

and your Sokcho hotel-cation is ready to go!

After hiking to Heundeulbawi Rock in Seoraksan Mountain,

we showered, changed into our swimsuits,

put on our shower gowns,

and headed off to enjoy the heated infinity pool

at our Sokcho hotel with a pool!

3. Sokcho Heated Infinity Pool / SKY21

Unlimited access from check-in to check-out 🫧

Greenhouse Cabana Use (1 hour): ~$7

Swimsuits, goggles, and hats are available for rent.

▶Four Seasons Heated Infinity Pool (36-42°C)

♨️Spring/Autumn: Approx. 38°C

♨️Winter: Approx. 40°C maintained

Donned our shower gowns and headed up to the 21st floor!

Stepped out of the elevator,

grabbed a bright blue towel,

and headed outside~

👉To the right is Rooftop Bar Sky21

There are also simple shower facilities

available on the 21st floor.

⚠️If you came up without showering,

please shower here before using the facilities :)

Heated Jacuzzi Pool: 41-42°C

Infinity Pool: 40°C

Tubes are also available for free rental,

The water toys are also free,

so I had a blast playing with them too! 🤣

Home Marina Sokcho's infinity pool boasted wonderfully warm water for our Sokcho 'Hocance'!

Just look at how adorable they were! ❤️

From this Sokcho hotel with a pool,

you can even spot Ulsanbawi Rock!

No need to go far at all.

On the day we visited,

there was a strong wind advisory, so the bubble foam party wasn't happening.

But the next day, when the wind died down,

they suddenly started spraying the foam!

🫧Human-safe foam!🫧

Honestly, I wasn't particularly excited until they started spraying,

but somehow it just made me so happy! 😁

Checked in, then pool.

Dinner, then pool.

Breakfast, then pool.

Now THAT'S a proper Sokcho 'Hocance,' right?!

With steam rising from the water,

you absolutely *must* catch the sunset from the pool!!!!

Absolutely no disinfectant smell,

just wonderfully, deliciously warm.

That's the Sokcho hotel's infinity pool with its perfect warm water.

SKY21 Rooftop Bar is

a space accessible to all hotel guests,

and many people were spending time there.

Some guests were enjoying cocktails in the glass greenhouse cabanas!

We were a bit too chilly, so we opted for a drink in our room instead 🥂.

When we inquired about wine glasses at the front desk,

they brought them right up to our room! ✨

4. Sokcho Hotel Breakfast

Experience the Sokcho breakfast buffet, crafted by a Le Cordon Bleu award-winning chef and a team from a 2-Michelin-star restaurant!

Located on the B1 floor,

we enjoyed our Sokcho breakfast at Seorak Bistro.

We arrived at 8 AM for our Sokcho breakfast,

and wow, everyone was so diligent and early!!!!

One of the most important things for me in a breakfast buffet is

whether or not there are live cooking stations, right?!

✔️Fried eggs

✔️Pho (Vietnamese rice noodle soup)

✔️Pancakes

They prepare these right on the spot,

so you can enjoy them nice and warm.

Jam and butter corner

Pancake, dessert, and fruit corner

My breakfast begins with

three kinds of fruit juice and coffee,

fried eggs, pumpkin soup, and bread.

My husband started with Korean food:

Spicy stir-fried pork (Jeyuk-bokkeum), Tteokbokki, white kimchi, anchovies, fermented squid, and fried rice.

Baguette with Nutella, oh my!

It brings back memories of guesthouses in France!

As a chocolate lover,

a cup of milk with cereal.

Then I went back for more fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, and grilled vegetables, truly enjoying it like a classic full breakfast.

To curb the guilt of eating so many sweets in the morning,

I balanced it out with healthy natto.

Add natto and kimchi,

mix it with rice, and wrap it in seaweed –

everyone knows how delicious that is, right?

Finished up with more sweet desserts!

The choux pastry and egg tarts were delicious!!!!

And finally, an iced latte to wrap things up.

Breakfast prices these days are no joke, right?!

When you think about it that way,

the breakfast at Home Marina Sokcho

offers great value for money, and

the selection is fantastic too!

For those whose stay doesn't include breakfast,

guests can get a 10% discount,

so just mention your room number when you enter.

5. Fitness Center

✔️ Personal workout clothes

✔️ Personal athletic shoes

Please bring these to work out.

I only brought hiking shoes,

so I had to skip my workout this time... 😁

6. Overall Review

As a brand new hotel that opened in 2024,

the rooms were spacious and wonderfully comfortable!

The staff were incredibly friendly,

And the heated infinity pool in Sokcho?

Absolutely amazing – so warm and inviting!

If you're looking for a hotel with a pool in Sokcho,

I highly recommend Home Marina Sokcho!!!!
