When traveling to LA, your accommodation's location is absolutely key.

This hotel is worth choosing

for its location alone!

Hotel Location

Bars, clubs, and great restaurants are all within walking distance,

and being in the heart of Hollywood means you can sightsee during the day,

then easily step out for fun at night.

Not having to hail an Uber

is such a huge advantage!

Valet Parking: ~$55-60 per night

I used a public parking lot nearby

and walked to the hotel for check-in.

There's a public parking lot not far away,

and I chose this one because it was the cleanest.

However, you always need to be careful in LA.

Especially if you have a rental car, as they usually don't have tinted windows,

NEVER leave anything visible in the car ❌❌❌

If you absolutely must store items in your car, make sure to hide them in the trunk or similar places

where they can't be seen.

When I visited, it was part of the Hyatt family,

but it has now switched to the Marriott brand.

The building and facilities remain the same, only the brand has changed.

The Hollywood Grande Hotel

feels more like a boutique lifestyle hotel.

With approximately 190 rooms in total,

it's not overwhelmingly large,

which means it feels less crowded and has a more vibrant atmosphere.

The entire hotel is about 11 stories high, so unlike larger hotels,

it's not complex, the layout is straightforward, and moving around is easy.

You can check in right away upon entering.

Unlike big hotels where you might have to queue for ages to check in,

I loved that there was no such hassle.

What was even better was that they offered a welcome drink!

It was champagne, and after one sip, it was so good

I actually asked for another glass! 😉

I usually book through Expedia,

Typically, room rates range from:

Weekdays: ~$250 - $400

This is a mid-to-high-tier hotel by LA standards.

Hotel Lobby & Lobby Bar

In the evening, I came down to the lobby and had a beer.

There weren't many people, and the bartender was so friendly,

the atmosphere was fantastic.

The staff were so incredibly kind that they gave me

a free drink coupon to use at the rooftop bar.

Woohoo!

Guest Room Review

The room had an overall modern and clean style.

What I noticed right away wasn't necessarily a huge space, but rather

the feeling of a meticulously organized and tidy hotel.

What I particularly loved were

the charming little decor items within the room.

The lighting and objects were arranged so charmingly,

creating a wonderfully atmospheric and artistic vibe throughout.

The bed condition was also great, and there was no dust or mess,

so the cleanliness was exceptionally good.

There was also a closet and a safe.

The bathroom was also immaculately clean and well-maintained,

and the amenities were quite good.

Overall, everything was just right, with no discomfort at all.

I was thoroughly impressed!

Since I didn't opt for an upgraded room or pay extra for a premium view,

the view was a slight drawback, but certainly not a dealbreaker!

Rooftop Adventures Await!

The absolute best part of this hotel is undoubtedly its incredible rooftop.

Perched right at the top of the hotel, you'll find the fantastic Bar Lis.

It's a vibrant hub featuring a pool, restaurant, bar, and even a club, all rolled into one!

By day, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and easygoing.

The rooftop pool is open for a refreshing dip,

you can lounge in stylish cabana-style sunbeds,

and delicious food and drinks are readily available to order.

We kicked back with a refreshing cocktail,

and stretched out on the sunbeds to soak in the magical sunset views.

Being an Expedia Silver member (the entry-level tier, mind you!) really paid off.

They generously gave us five complimentary drink cards!

Rooftop Restaurant Menu

Bar Lis opens at 5 PM.

The atmosphere is absolutely amazing!

(We're not very good at taking portrait photos...)

Watch out, the Hollywood Sign is in the background!

Before the sunset disappears, grab a seat at the bar

and enjoy everything from the sunset to the stunning city night view!

Honestly, I went without doing much research again,

and I didn't even know that the very top floor of the hotel I was staying at

was one of Hollywood's hottest clubs!

After exploring Hollywood Street,

wandering around, peeking into where the hot spots might be,

eating ice cream,

and coming back to the hotel thinking I'd have one more cocktail,

when I returned,

there was a huge line in front of the hotel

and so many people.

Thanks to that, I had a blast and was exhausted, but

I went straight to my room and crashed!!!

The next morning,

we perfectly rounded off our stay with breakfast at the rooftop restaurant.

Reluctant to go home, I spent a good while lounging on a sunbed by the rooftop pool!

I was lying there for ages!

Such a shame, I really didn't want to leave!

Conclusion

A hotel that already proves its worth just by its location,

If you're looking for a trip to enjoy both day and night,

this accommodation will offer high satisfaction!

The Hollywood Grande Autograph Collection

is a hotel that's a bit too good to simply just stay overnight.

It's a hotel that encompasses location, atmosphere, and even nightlife.

Being in the heart of Hollywood,

you can explore all the nearby bars, clubs, amazing restaurants, and even essential Hollywood tourist spots.

Recommended for honeymoons too! Why?

While it's not a completely quiet and private resort-style hotel,

if you're on a honeymoon where atmosphere and location are important,

It's a perfectly good choice.

After all, if you've chosen LA for your honeymoon,

it's highly likely your itinerary will be focused on sightseeing rather than a relaxing getaway,

making this hotel a fantastic fit for that travel style.
