The Hollywood Grande Hotel: A Recommended Review
When traveling to LA, your accommodation's location is truly key.
This hotel is worth choosing
for its location alone!

Hotel Location
Bars, clubs, and great restaurants are all within walking distance,
and being in the heart of Hollywood means you can sightsee by day,
and easily dive into the nightlife by night.
Not needing to call an Uber separately
is such a huge advantage!

I used a public parking lot nearby
and walked to the hotel for check-in.
There's a public parking lot not too far away,
and I chose it because it was the cleanest option.
However, you always need to be careful in LA.
Especially if you have a rental car without tinted windows,
NEVER leave items inside the car ❌❌❌
If you absolutely must store something in your car, hide it in the trunk
or somewhere out of sight.

When I visited, it was a Hyatt property,
but it has since switched to the Marriott portfolio.
The building and facilities remain the same; only the brand has changed.
The Hollywood Grande Hotel feels
more like a boutique lifestyle hotel.
With approximately 190 rooms in total,
it's not overwhelmingly large,
which actually keeps it from feeling crowded and helps maintain a vibrant atmosphere.
The entire hotel is about 11 stories high, so unlike larger hotels,
it's not complex, and movement is straightforward and convenient.
You can check in immediately upon arrival.
Unlike larger hotels where you often have to wait in a long line to check in,
it was great not to have that hassle.
Even better, they offered a welcome drink!
It was champagne, and after one sip, it was so delicious that
I actually asked for another glass! 😉
I usually make reservations through Expedia,
and as an Expedia Silver member,
they gave me an Expedia VIP coupon.
You can get a 20% discount at the rooftop bar!

Hotel Lobby & Lobby Bar
Later that evening, I headed down to the lobby bar for a beer.
It wasn't too crowded, and the bartender was incredibly friendly.
The vibe was just perfect.
They were so incredibly kind, they even gave me a
free drink coupon to use at the rooftop.
Score!
A Look Inside the Room
Overall, the room boasted a modern and incredibly neat style.
As soon as I stepped inside, my impression wasn't necessarily of a huge space, but rather
of a beautifully organized and impeccably neat hotel.
What I especially loved were
the thoughtful decorative items inside the room.
The lighting and objets were charmingly arranged,
creating a wonderfully aesthetic and emotional ambiance throughout.
The bed condition was excellent, and there wasn't a speck of dust or any untidy spots,
indicating a remarkably high level of cleanliness.
There was also a wardrobe and a safe.
The bathroom was also kept impeccably clean,
and the amenities were quite good.
Overall, I was completely
satisfied, with no inconveniences whatsoever!
Since I didn't pay extra or book an expensive room at the hotel,
the view was a bit disappointing.
Rooftop Review
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its rooftop.
At the very top of the hotel, you'll find Bar Lis.
It's a combination of a pool, restaurant, bar, and club.
During the day, the overall atmosphere was quite relaxed.
The rooftop pool was open,
and you could sit on sunbeds in a cabana style.
Food and drinks were also available for order.
We ordered a cocktail each
and lay on the sunbeds, enjoying the sunset.
Being an Expedia Silver member (the lowest tier) was great!
They gave us five free drink cards.

The vibe here is just incredible!

Oh, and look out for the Hollywood Sign in the background!
Before the sun dipped completely, we grabbed a spot at the bar and
soaked in views from sunset all the way to the sparkling city nightscape!
Honestly, I went without doing much research again,
and had no idea that the very top floor of my hotel
was one of Hollywood's hottest clubs!
After strolling Hollywood Boulevard,
wandering around, trying to sniff out the happening spots,
enjoying some ice cream,
and thinking I'd head back to the hotel for one more cocktail,
I returned,
only to find a massive queue stretching out in front of the hotel
and a huge crowd!
Thanks to that, I had a blast, even if I was completely exhausted,
so it was straight back to the room for some much-needed sleep!!!
The next morning,
we wrapped up our stay perfectly with breakfast at the rooftop restaurant.
Reluctantly, I stretched out on a sunbed by the rooftop pool, not wanting to go home just yet!
It's such a shame, I really didn't want to leave!
The Verdict
This hotel is already worth its weight in gold for its location alone.
If you're planning a trip to soak in both the vibrant days and exciting nights,
then this is a highly satisfying place to stay!

is definitely a hotel that's too good to just use for sleeping.
It's a hotel that bundles location, ambiance, and nightlife all in one amazing package.
Nestled right in the heart of Hollywood,
you're perfectly positioned to explore all the nearby bars, clubs, top restaurants, and, of course, Hollywood's must-see attractions.
Highly Recommended for Honeymoons Too! Why?
While it might not be a completely quiet, private, resort-style escape,
if you're looking for a honeymoon where atmosphere and an unbeatable location are key,
it's an absolutely fantastic choice.
After all, if you've chosen LA for your honeymoon,
it's highly probable your itinerary will be more about vibrant sightseeing than pure relaxation,
making this hotel a perfect match for that kind of adventurous travel style.
