I was super curious about their morning spread and rooftop pool dinner, so I just had to check it out myself. Holiday Inn Canggu Resort Bali

The Holiday Inn Resort Canggu, which I highly recommend as your Bali home base, is a fresh new property that opened in 2023. As a 5-star resort under the IHG brand, it delivers the high standards and quality that international travelers absolutely love.

For context, the prestigious IHG Group features world-renowned brands like InterContinental, Hotel Indigo, Regent, and Six Senses.

One of the absolute best perks of the Holiday Inn Canggu's location is that it's less than a 10-minute walk to popular brunch cafes and the famous La Brisa beach club!

The Room: Ocean View Top Premium King

The overall wooden aesthetic gives it a warm, luxurious feel that sets it apart from your average run-of-the-mill hotel. Even the vanity and bathroom feature lovely wood accents, creating an incredibly cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Having a private balcony overlooking Canggu Beach was a game-changer—perfect for drying swimwear, and the morning views were absolutely stunning.

They provide two types of pillows—firm and soft—so I got an amazing night's sleep.

I think the floor-level air conditioning layout also played a big part in keeping the room perfectly comfortable.

The bath amenities are Dove, which smelled amazing, and since the showerhead was detachable, I was able to easily pop on my travel shower filter.

But the absolute best highlight of this room category? It's on the 5th floor, right next to the pool! Having the rooftop pool on the very same floor meant I could just throw on a robe over my swimsuit and head over whenever I wanted. Super convenient!

Breakfast

The Holiday Inn Resort Canggu is actually famous in Bali for its incredible breakfast. I did a lot of research before booking, and the reviews from travelers raving about the breakfast were absolutely spot on.

The restaurant is incredibly spacious with lots of room between the tables, making the dining environment super comfortable and relaxing.

You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at ROOMAH, the main restaurant located on the 1st floor.

✅ The Menu – One of the best things about hotel breakfasts in Bali is that they feature a made-to-order à la carte menu.

They hand you a menu like this, and you can simply choose and order whatever you like. Since it's an unlimited à la carte breakfast, you can order to your heart's content and even get seconds of your favorites! There's no time limit either... though after trying a bit of everything, I was completely full until lunch, haha.

There is also a buffet area stocked with fresh fruits, salads, and more. However, once you start ordering from the menu, there are so many delicious dishes to eat that you probably won't find yourself visiting the buffet line more than once!

I personally love having a table full of food all at once, so I asked if it was okay to order multiple dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and said, "Of course!" so we went ahead and ordered a bunch of different things.

✅ I tried both the waffles and the French toast, and the waffles won hands down! They were so crispy and paired perfectly with the maple syrup.

✅ The Eggs Benedict is an absolute must-try! The warm poached eggs and rich hollandaise sauce were perfection... honestly, it tasted way better than most specialty brunch cafes.

✅ The beef bagel was such a perfect, simple breakfast sandwich combo that I ordered it again the very next day.

The omelet was incredibly soft and fluffy on the inside—truly worthy of a 5-star hotel chef. You absolutely have to try it!

Everything tasted so much fresher and better since it was made-to-order. In fact, their Nasi Goreng was hands down the best one I had during my entire trip to Bali.

Another amazing thing—when I told them I was heading out for a Jeep tour at 3:00 AM the next morning, they packed a breakfast box for me...! You seriously need to stay here... such incredibly touching service! (It was a beef bagel and a club sandwich! Absolutely delicious!)

Amenities & Facilities

I was seriously impressed to find a Kids Club here at Holiday Inn Canggu. It feels like the perfect resort for a family trip to Bali. You don't even have to step outside all day—you can sort everything from the pool, kids' zone, lunch and dinner restaurants, to the gym right here.

Located on the G floor (ground level), the Kids Zone is quite spacious and pleasantly cool—perfect for spending quality time with toddlers or young kids.

There's also a spacious area where you can relax and play various board games.

The fitness center is equipped with brand-new machines and is super clean, which instantly made me want to get a workout in!

📌 The gym is open 24 hours, which is perfect for anyone with an early morning or late-night workout routine!

Dinner (Roomah)

Since dinner at Holiday Inn Canggu gets great reviews, I decided to skip the beach clubs that night and dine at Roomah, the same restaurant where breakfast is served.
