📍 Henann Premier Coast Resort Bohol
Ester Lim Drive, Alona Beach, Brgy. Tawala, Panglao Island, Panglao, 6300 Bohol, Philippines
After a fantastic three-night stay at Henann Alona, we found ourselves with an unexpected gap on our last day. Our planned island tour had been canceled due to a typhoon the day before checkout, leaving us scrambling for an alternative.
We weren't in the mood for another land tour, and the idea of booking a half-day stay at a nearby, less exciting spot didn't appeal. To make matters worse, we'd tried to book a Balicasag tour with a local vendor the previous day. They promised to call us by 9 AM on 09/01/2026 if the weather improved, but we never heard back, so that plan was a no-go.
Our original Plan A: Morning checkout → Balicasag tour → Half-day accommodation → Airport.
Our new Plan B: Morning checkout → Henann Premier Day Use → Dinner → Massage → Airport.
Ultimately, Plan B became our saving grace!

These photos make it look incredibly peaceful, but this was actually us heading to inquire about Day Use after breakfast, amidst rain and strong winds! Haha.
We were so worried they might say no!

After asking a few questions, they confirmed Day Use was available! So, we checked out of our current hotel and headed over.
For two people, the cost was 2,576 Philippine Pesos, which was approximately ~$41 USD.

Honestly, the pool at Henann Alona was much better! Haha.
It had a really deep section, which I loved.

Here's the Henann Alona pool being cleaned. So pristine!

After checking out, we headed straight to check in for our Day Use!
Just like a regular stay, they gave us towel exchange cards and a map.
They even put on wristbands! These pool wristbands, however, only allowed access to the 4th-floor pool. The main pool on the 1st floor was off-limits, which was a bit disappointing.

From the lobby, you can see the pool access rooms and the main pool. It looked pretty similar to Henann Alona in terms of width and depth.
Maybe next time, I'll try staying in a pool access room!
We were assigned room 625. It was a basic room, not in the best location, just a single space.
There were no slippers, no body wash, and no toothbrushes, but we did get two sets of shampoo and conditioner.

But honestly, it was a sanctuary that provided us a place to rest and relax for the afternoon. That's all that mattered!

The room was also very clean.

There was plenty of space to put our luggage.
And get this – two beds! Lol!
It was perfect to put my luggage on the single bed and then catch a nap on the queen bed. So comfy!

When you opened the door, you saw a wall, haha. But if you stepped out onto the terrace and turned your head, you could catch a glimpse of the ocean!

Seriously, just look at that ocean color!

We truly had nowhere to go that afternoon, so this Day Use option was a lifesaver!
Plus, it's a newer building with great facilities, which made it even better.

The weather was absolutely dreadful – a clear reminder of what a typhoon can do!

So, we made the most of it and had a blast messing around in the pool. Since only the 4th-floor pool was accessible, we quickly dropped our bags and headed down.
We literally swam through a storm of rain and wind!
The water was incredibly chilly, and the wind was so strong! It was a shame we couldn't stay in the pool longer.

The pool depth was a bit shallow, so I couldn't practice my handstands much, haha.
