Hanok Korean BBQ Pattaya Review 2026: Authentic Beachside Grills
Craving authentic Korean food in Pattaya? Hanok Korean BBQ offers a surprisingly clean, family-friendly atmosphere with top-notch service and delicious grilled meats. A must-visit!

When you're traveling, local food is wonderful, but...
around halfway through your trip, doesn't that moment come when you strangely start craving a spicy, savory broth?
Well, that's exactly when I timed my visit during a weekday lunch hour,
and headed to Hanok Korean Restaurant, a renowned spot in Pattaya, Thailand.

When you eat Korean food abroad, you usually go in with slightly lower expectations,
but this time, I was surprised by the service even more than the taste.
If I ever go back to Pattaya, I'm absolutely, without a doubt, coming here again.
What was the restaurant's interior like?
The very first thing I noticed when I opened the door and walked in was its...
cleanliness!! The restaurant was bright and spotless.

It felt meticulously maintained, without any grease spots,
making it a pleasant environment, even for a Korean BBQ joint.

I thought it would be a great place to visit with parents or children.
There was a staff member who could speak Korean, which made ordering and communication super easy,
and their service was really friendly.

What really surprised me here was the quality of the side dishes (banchan).
When I lived briefly in Cebu, Philippines, some time ago,
I used to frequent Korean restaurants there.

The quality of Korean food prepared abroad can often be a bit lacking, to be honest,
but when that Korean food craving hit, you just had to make do.

But here at Hanok Korean Restaurant, I wholeheartedly declare it a Pattaya must-try!
The basic side dishes were
incredibly delicious!!
It made me wonder, 'Could a Korean chef be cooking here?'
That's how good it was.

Seriously, from the kimchi to the donggeurangttaeng (Korean meat patties), everything was so tasty,
it instantly made me think I absolutely had to come back here.

Wagyu Assorted Set, Gopchang Jeongol (Intestine Hot Pot), and Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles)
We ordered the Wagyu Assorted Set (420g), a hearty Gopchang Jeongol (Intestine Hot Pot),
and Mul Naengmyeon (cold noodles) for a refreshing finish.

Just look at that Wagyu!
They serve a fantastic assortment of different cuts like this.
Doesn't it just make your mouth water just looking at it?

What really impressed me that day was their grilling technique,
We ordered the Wagyu assorted set, and the staff member
grilled it for us personally, from start to finish,
and what's more, they changed the grill plate every single time we switched to a different cut!

Honestly, when you keep grilling on the same plate, some parts can easily get a little charred,
which can be a bit disappointing. But here, they took care of that by changing the grill for each and every cut,
ensuring everything stayed perfectly clean and delicious until the very last bite!

The meat was truly phenomenal! Thumbs up, indeed! My husband and I even said we'd have to
come all the way to Pattaya just for beef from now on!

Thanks to their meticulous grilling,
the meat never burned, and the distinct flavors of each cut
remained perfectly separate.

While they expertly grilled, I savored a refreshing glass of beer.
Enjoying a cold beer with succulent, juicy beef in Pattaya
felt absolutely incredible!

True to its reputation as a top Korean restaurant in Thailand,
the side dishes were beautifully arranged and every single one was delicious.
The staff even checked in periodically to see if we needed anything else throughout our meal.

After a few days of enjoying Thai food, I found myself craving a spicy, hearty soup again, you know?
So, I just had to order some Gopchang-jeongol (beef tripe hotpot)!
The broth was wonderfully spicy and invigorating, and the beef tripe was perfectly chewy with absolutely no gamey smell!!

It was packed with generous ingredients, making it perfect to enjoy with rice.
And let me tell you, Gopchang-jeongol with a refreshing cold beer? That's a match made in heaven!

For a perfect grand finale, we finished with some refreshing Mul Naengmyeon (cold noodle soup)!

You know how amazing it is to pair rich, grilled meat with cool Mul Naengmyeon!
Wrap a piece of Wagyu beef around some Mul Naengmyeon,
and you've got that iconic flavor combo that everyone loves.
Good to Know Before You Go

I visited during weekday lunchtime,
and the restaurant's spacious interior allowed for a relatively relaxed dining experience.
However, it's also very popular with local Thai customers,
so it might be a good idea to make a reservation on weekends or during peak hours.

Beyond the beef sets, they also offer pork menus
and a wide variety of other meal options.

If you're traveling with elderly family members or friends,
Korean food is often a must-have, so I could see myself visiting here multiple times.
