I visited Aqua Planet at Galleria Department Store Gwanggyo
with my 4-month-old baby, located on B1F.
The perfect aquarium for an indoor date!
(Psst!) There's even a nursing room inside!

Admission Ticket Price Discount
Aqua Planet, located on B1F of
Gwanggyo Galleria Department Store.
10:30 AM ~ 7:30 PM
Last admission 6:30 PM
The regular admission fee is ~$21,
and the special discounted price (ages 13 and under, 65 and over) is ~$19, but
instead of paying the full price,
I purchased discount tickets in advance before visiting.
Check both links and purchase from whichever offers a better price!
You can enter immediately using the link sent to you 1 hour after purchase.
When visiting Aqua Planet at Gwanggyo Galleria Department Store,
you can get up to 2 hours of free parking.
Parking support is available at both the Galleria parking lot and Forena parking lot,
but free parking is not available at Suwon Convention Center, so
keep that in mind when you park!
Honestly, the first time I tried to visit,
my baby hadn't napped well,
so when I showed him the entrance from outside, he was indifferent, and we didn't go in.
The second time, there were too many cars trying to enter the parking lot, so we failed.
This Gwanggyo Aquarium visit was finally successful on our third attempt!
Wagons, bicycles, kickboards, etc., are not allowed inside,
but strollers are permitted.

Upon entering, my 4-month-old baby was still a little bewildered!
Just as we entered,
they were feeding the otters,
and my baby watched intently.
The 'Under the Sea of Fish' (or whatever it's called) area
seems more suitable for babies who can walk.
For tall adults, going through it
was quite a backache... haha.

Honestly, he only paid attention about 20% of the time,
watching things he found fascinating,
and for the rest, he just looked around blankly, haha.
And we took a picture with Dad
in front of the ray tank.

(It's no secret that Mom's hair was a mess~)
Our little Mickey Mouse baby
still cooperated so well,
making our visit to Gwanggyo Aquaplanet a truly enjoyable one.
The penguin and archerfish section here
didn't have any interactive experiences for the baby yet,
so we quickly moved on.
And just like that, we finished exploring the aquarium tunnel too!
We didn't catch the main tank magic show,
but you can refer to the photo for the show schedule.
Instead, we made sure to catch the mermaid performance,
so we grabbed our seats early.
At first, our baby watched with a big 'wow!'

We sat in the very first row
to watch with our baby.
As it turns out, a baby's attention span is shorter than you'd think,
and there were parts in the middle where the audience was asked to respond.
When everyone answered in unison,
our little one got startled and burst into tears.
I guess the loud sound, which she hadn't heard before,
really surprised her.
So, as soon as the mermaid show ended, my husband quickly scooped up the baby and
rushed out, LOL.
I tidied up our cushions and followed right after him.
We also took a family photo, just the three of us,
making it a day where we showed our baby lots of fish everywhere!
Aquaplanet Nursing Room
Inside Gwanggyo Aquaplanet, there's also a nursing room available.
It's equipped with a water dispenser, a microwave, and
two diaper changing stations, a sink, and one private nursing booth.
While these facilities are provided, if there are many visitors,
the diaper changing stations might become insufficient.
If you're visiting Aquaplanet with a baby and haven't entered yet,
it might be a good idea to use the baby lounge inside Galleria Department Store first,
before heading into the aquarium.
A playground for infants under 24 months was also there,
right next to the nursing room.
Our 4-month-old couldn't play yet, so we skipped it.
After our visit, we headed out.
Gift Shop
Right upon exiting, we were greeted by the gift shop...!
There were tons of dolls and toys of all kinds, but
our 4-month-old wasn't interested yet (lol),
so we quickly moved past them.
If you're visiting with a 4-month-old,
I'd recommend a baby carrier over a stroller...⭐
(But it probably depends on your baby's temperament!)
Also, make sure your baby gets enough naps,
and visit during their feeding and play times.
I think your little one will love it!
Don't buy your admission tickets at full price;
