Geoje Jungle Dome Cafe Review: Is Jungle Bread Worth It?

Lately, Geoje Island has been trending like crazy for weekend getaways in 2026!

Today, I'm sharing a quick look at ✔️

my visit to the famous Geoje Botanical Garden,

along with an honest review of the legendary "Jungle Bread"

which you can only find right here at the cafe next door!

Did you know the rising K-pop group Rescene actually visited this spot? 🫶🏻

The "Cafe Next to the Botanical Garden" ☕️

It's located directly inside the Geoje Botanical Garden complex

and features a spacious two-story layout! ‼️

The Rescene members hung out on the second floor!

It gets pretty lively in here!

I was too exhausted to climb up to the second floor, unfortunately...

There is also a cute little gift shop right by the entrance!

Drink prices range from about ~$3 to ~$5.

The price for the famous Geoje Jungle Bread varies slightly depending on the flavor.

Before the Rescene craze hit,

individual breads were priced around ~$4 to ~$5.

Since I wanted to try the best, I went with the premium Olive flavor!

How to Order Your Jungle Bread:

First, place your order at the self-service kiosk!

<After Payment>

Grab your bread directly from the refrigerator located right behind the pickup counter.

-> Quick Tip: If the kiosk says

"Sold Out" or if you can't find the item,

don't panic! Just ask one of the friendly staff members for help!

To be completely honest, it doesn't look super appetizing at first glance.

My immediate thought was, "Did I just waste my money on a tourist trap?"

You know that feeling when you buy a destination-exclusive dessert

only to find out it's dry, stale, and barely has any filling?

That was exactly the vibe I was getting from its appearance. 🙂

It felt like it was going to be rock hard on the outside.

But oh my goodness, what a plot twist!

Maybe it's because my expectations were literally on the floor, but after one bite...

Oh yeah, Geoje Jungle Bread is an absolute win! 🥹✌🏼

Look at that!

It is absolutely packed with cream.

It's a rich cream, but because it's stored frozen,

it tastes exactly like a cool cream ice cream!

Honestly, even though it's olive-flavored, the olive taste isn't overwhelming or weird at all.

The exterior is covered in an olive-infused streusel (soboro) topping.

Since it comes straight out of a cold fridge,

it does start off a bit firm.

The cream inside is frozen solid,

giving it a perfect ice-cream-like texture!

I highly recommend letting it thaw for just a few minutes before taking a bite!

Located right inside the botanical garden complex,

this cafe is the ultimate spot to rest your legs

and grab a sweet treat during your trip.
