Geoje Island 2 Days 1 Night

Yundol Island / Hotel Sangsang / Oedo Botania

For this 2-day Geoje Island itinerary, I tried changing up the route a bit.

From snorkeling to local hotspots, accommodations, and Oedo Botania—

I've mapped out my brand-new itinerary exactly as it went down.

Geoje Island 2-Day Itinerary at a Glance

Day 1:

Yundol Island Snorkeling → Cheonhwawon

→ Janggeumi Raw Fish Restaurant (Takeout) → Hotel Sangsang (Accommodation)

Day 2:

Hotel Sangsang → Geoje Udon → Gujora Castle

→ Oedo Botania → Head Home

After enjoying snorkeling and food around the Gujora area,

we spent the night at an ocean-view hotel,

and finished the next day with a light hike and an island getaway.

Day 1

Yundol Island Snorkeling

✔ Location: Gujora-ri, Irun-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do (Access from Gujora Beach)

✔ Kayak (2 people) ~$38 / Paddleboard (1 person) ~$32 / Jet Ski (1 person) ~$32

Thanks to its crystal-clear water and schools of fish,

this place is famous as a snorkeling holy grail.

The rocks are slippery and covered in barnacles,

so make sure to bring a rash guard and water shoes.

🔺 Yundol Island Snorkeling Review

Cheonhwawon

✔ Address: 2-4, Sinbu-ro, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do

✔ Recommended Menu: Samseon Jjamppong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup)

Operated by a Chinese-Korean family since 1951,

this is Geoje Island's signature Chinese restaurant.

It's the perfect place to refuel and warm up after snorkeling.

I highly recommend the seafood-packed Samseon Jjamppong and crispy Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork).

Janggeumi Raw Fish Restaurant

✔ Address: 33, Jangseungpo-ro, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do

✔ Price: ~$22

For an unbelievable price of ~$22, the portion size is massive

and it comes packed with a great variety of fresh fish.

Perfect for grabbing to-go to enjoy comfortably back at the hotel,

I highly recommend getting it to go!

✔ Address: 2752 Geoje-daero, Irun-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do

If you pick up takeout from Janggeumi Raw Fish Restaurant and head over to Hotel Sangsang,

you can enjoy fresh sashimi in the jacuzzi and swim in the infinity pool—

it's the absolute perfect way to wrap up your day!

Day 2

Geoje Udon

This is a fantastic place to fuel up with a hearty breakfast

before you hike up to Gujora Castle.

I highly recommend the chewy noodles, crispy karaage (fried chicken),

and the spicy inari sushi!

Gujora Castle

✔ Address: San 55, Gujora-ri, Irun-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do

✔ Parking: Nearby Public Parking Lot (37 Gujora-ro, Irun-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do)

Take an easy hike up to the fortress walls,

and you'll reach a stunning photo spot with a panoramic view of

Gujora Beach and Yundol Island.

Oedo Botania

✔ Departure Point: Gujorahang Port Ferry Terminal

✔ Min. Budget per Person: At least ~$21 (Ferry + Admission)

For the final stop of your trip, I highly recommend taking a ferry

to the gorgeous island of Oedo Botania.

Since your stay on the island is limited to 2 hours, try planning your route like this:

Venus Garden → Stairway to Heaven → Panorama Observation Deck

to make the most of your time.
