This parking garage is conveniently located right at the entrance to Frigiliana's famous viewpoint, a spot almost everyone visiting the town will want to see. You literally can't miss it!

Understanding the Parking Costs

Traveling through Europe, I often found parking to be surprisingly expensive. So, I was pleasantly surprised by the rates at Frigiliana's public parking garage – they were much more affordable than I expected!

It's not that European parking is generally cheap; rather, this particular garage in Frigiliana stands out as an exceptionally good value compared to many other spots across the continent!

Your Parking Ticket

As you enter, you'll need to grab a parking ticket from the yellow machine. Just like back home, you'll use this ticket for payment later, so keep it safe!

Your entry time will be stamped on the ticket, allowing you to estimate your total cost before you even pay.

Inside the Parking Garage

From the outside, the entrance might look a bit modest, making you think it's always packed. But once you drive inside, you'll be surprised by how spacious it truly is!

There's absolutely no need to worry about finding a spot. It was wide open, so you can pick any empty space that suits you.

To avoid any potential scratches on our rental, I made sure to park in a spot with no cars on either side. And for an extra layer of security against theft, I intentionally chose a spot further inside the garage, away from the immediate entrance.

Exploring Frigiliana After Parking

Once we were parked, we immediately headed to the Frigiliana viewpoint, just steps away, and then explored the charming local restaurants. The parking garage's location is truly unbeatable, allowing us to easily navigate the town entirely on foot.

Paying for Parking

After a wonderful time exploring, we returned to the parking garage. Payment is made at the yellow machine located immediately to your right as you enter the parking area.

This is an automated machine, so you'll follow the instructions to complete your payment. First, insert the parking ticket you received upon entry into the slot marked '1'.

If you're paying by card, *don't* follow the path to '2'. Instead, insert your payment card directly into the card reader below. (I initially made this mistake, thinking '2' was for all payments, but it's specifically for cash transactions!)

You'll then need to enter your PIN to finalize the card payment. It's easy to get flustered when encountering new payment systems in a foreign country, but trust me, after a few times, entering your PIN will become second nature!

Our total parking fee came out to 4.5 Euros, which is approximately ~$5. While it might be a bit more than some free options, I consider it a worthwhile investment for the security and peace of mind it provides!
