Eastin Ashta Resort Bali Review: Best Central Location
Finding the perfect stay in Canggu is all about location. Here is my honest review of Eastin Ashta Resort, featuring prime walkability and unbeatable value.

If you're planning a trip to Bali and struggling to pick a place to stay in Canggu,
you're probably just like I was—obsessing over the location.
Canggu is packed with trendy spots, but many hotels are hidden
deep down narrow alleys. Once you book them, you quickly realize
getting around can be a logistical nightmare.

I recently spent some time exploring Canggu
and booked the Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu
with my own money (no sponsorships here!).

Spoiler alert:
If you want to nail the central Canggu location + perfect walkability + incredible value,
this resort is a massively satisfying choice.
I’ll also be sharing a crucial tip on which days of the week
you should absolutely avoid staying here, so keep reading!
Why Location is Everything in Canggu

In Canggu, your location dictates about 80% of your trip's success.
Because Bali traffic is notoriously gridlocked,
taking a car taxi is highly inefficient. Unless
you're going a long distance, most people
rely on scooters to get around.

But if you can't ride a scooter
or you're traveling with a larger group,
finding a centrally located hotel becomes your top priority.

Eastin Ashta Resort is located right off
the main Batu Bolong street.
It’s incredibly walkable: just a 5 to 10-minute stroll to Canggu Beach,
and about a 14-minute walk to La Brisa Beach Club.
What I loved most was the unbeatable access to local hotspots!
Canggu is famous for its incredible cafe scene,
and from here you are steps away from the best:

✔️ Gigi Susu: 7-minute walk
✔️ Sensorium: 12-minute walk
✔️ La Brisa Beach Club: 14-minute walk
✔️ Two Moods & Oakberry Acai: 5-minute walk

You could easily walk to Deus Ex Machina,
but the midday heat was brutal, so I hopped on a Grab bike.
It cost me roughly ~$0.50!

Because Eastin Ashta Resort is
on a main road, calling a Grab or Gojek
is completely stress-free.

One of the quirks of Canggu is that walking down
unlit, deep alleys at night can feel a bit sketchy.
Because this place is right in the center, I felt totally safe!
If you're debating where to stay,
booking a central spot like this significantly
reduces your daily travel fatigue.
Honest Room Review: Superior Twin
Room 612 (Superior Twin)

I stayed in a Superior Twin room on the 6th floor (Room 612).

Being on the 6th floor meant I had a fantastic view.
Looking out from the private balcony
over the resort's lush gardens was pure tropical healing.

The room was surprisingly spacious.
Even with two large suitcases fully opened on the floor,
we had plenty of room to walk around!
The beds were super plush, and I slept incredibly well.

One structural detail I really appreciated:
the sink is located outside the bathroom.
When sharing a room with a friend, this makes getting ready so much faster.

Basic amenities like body wash, shampoo, and conditioner
are provided, but you'll definitely want to
pack your own toothbrush and facial cleansers.

You can even swap out the showerhead if you prefer to use your own filtered one!

They provide two complimentary bottles of water daily.
Since they are sealed glass bottles,
you can drink them without worry.

Like many travelers, I was a bit paranoid
about getting "Bali Belly,"
so I strictly used this bottled water even for brushing my teeth.

I didn't see any bugs in the room, but
a quick tropical travel rule: if you leave sweet fruits or
sugary drinks out, ants will find them.
Just be mindful of this wherever you stay in Bali.
For a budget-friendly hotel,
the overall room condition
far exceeded my expectations.
The Noise Factor: Is It Too Loud?

Right across the street is the popular Desa Kitsuné cafe,
which hosts massive parties on Tuesdays and Fridays.
I'd heard rumors that the music bumps until 1 AM.
However, I stayed on a Thursday night,
and it was blissfully quiet. I slept like a baby.

Ironically, I moved to a different resort
in Canggu the next day and got absolutely
zero sleep because the noise was unbearable!

Because Canggu is a party town,
noise is always a variable.
Checking the days of the week you plan to stay is crucial!
The Pool: Way Better Than Expected

Eastin Ashta Resort features a gorgeous
infinity-style main pool.
It is located right in front of the breakfast restaurant.

The pool is quite large, but surprisingly,
it was never crowded. At times, it felt like
I had rented a private villa pool.
They apparently even host foam parties during specific hours!

There are plenty of free beanbags and sunbeds available,
and you can easily order food and drinks from the pool bar.

Just lounging on a sunbed with a good book
was the ultimate relaxation.
If you're looking for an affordable Canggu hotel
with a genuinely nice pool, this one
hits the mark perfectly.
Breakfast: Great Value for Money

Breakfast is served daily at the SALT restaurant.
You can choose to sit indoors with the A/C
or outside by the pool.
I opted for the outdoor terrace to soak in the morning vibes.

While it's not a sprawling 5-star luxury buffet,
it covers all the essentials beautifully: fresh breads, bacon,
sausages, salads, and fried rice.

The best part is the live cooking station.
You can order eggs your way and fresh desserts,
and they bring them right to your table.
I ordered scrambled eggs and a fresh waffle.
Pro tip: ask for chocolate chips on your waffle!
It was perfectly sweet and crispy.

Paired with a hot, comforting matcha latte,
it was the perfect start to my day.
How to Book & Pricing

This resort generally runs around ~$77 per night.
If you're splitting it with a friend, that's just ~$38 per person!
When you factor in the prime central location, the stunning pool,
and the spacious rooms, the value is honestly mind-blowing.
(Plus, breakfast is included!)

Because it's such a steal, rooms book out
incredibly fast, especially during the 2026 peak travel season.
The higher floors with the best views are always
the first to go, so I highly recommend locking in
your dates as early as possible for peace of mind.
