Guaranteed Fun!
Why We Highly Recommend Dynamic Maze in Sokcho
My family and I recently took a summer vacation to the beautiful coastal city of Sokcho.
However, the midday heat was intense, so we started looking for indoor activities.
That's when we stumbled upon an amazing place featuring both action-packed challenges and a trick art photo zone!
If you want to stay cool this summer and create unforgettable memories with your family,
I highly recommend checking out Dynamic Maze!

When planning our family trip to Sokcho, our biggest concern was the weather.
We didn't want to just hop from one air-conditioned cafe to another—we wanted to actually bond and make memories.
The biggest advantage of this place is that it's a fully indoor, climate-controlled experience. You don't have to worry about the weather at all! Plus, the Alive Heart trick art zone gave us the perfect opportunity to snap some hilarious photos with our parents.
If you're looking for things to do in Sokcho when it's pouring rain or sweltering hot, this is a must-visit!

Before heading in, there's a mini arcade outside where we warmed up with some basketball and shooting games. We even made a bet on dinner, and I won! Haha.
After checking our tickets, the staff guided us in. Upstairs, there are free lockers to store your shoes and personal items.
Since this is a highly active indoor experience, you definitely want to put all your valuables, phones, and anything in your pockets into the lockers so you don't lose them mid-challenge!

Dynamic Maze is structured like an interactive escape room. Each section has a specific physical or mental mission you have to pass to unlock the door to the next zone.
At first, my parents were a bit skeptical, asking, "What kind of kids' game is this?" But once the timer started, they were trying harder than anyone else!

One of the most memorable challenges was a game where we had to rapidly stomp our feet on glowing pads to rack up points. It took us three tries to finally beat the required score!
(Consider it your cardio for the day!)

Look at how thrilled my mom was when we finally escaped! Haha.
We split into teams: my mom and I against my dad and younger brother. They actually beat our time and escaped first.

From navigating ball pits and bouncy floors to a room where you literally have to scream over a certain decibel level to open the door, it's non-stop fun for both adults and kids.
Once you complete all the missions, you officially conquer the maze!

Next up, we headed straight into Alive Heart, the optical illusion and trick art museum.
The space is filled with creative photo spots, including backdrops inspired by famous movie scenes.

By standing or lying down at specific angles, the 2D paintings look incredibly realistic and 3D in photos.
It's easy to see why kids absolutely love this place!

They also had unique interactive zones, like a silhouette photo area and a pitch-black room illuminated only by neon glow-in-the-dark paint. My parents had a blast posing here.

Many of the themes are designed for two people, making it an ideal spot for couples or families to capture some really fun memory-makers.
Seeing my parents laugh and act so playful together made the whole trip worth it.

At the end, there's a giant Lego wall where you can spell out messages. We left our family's name before heading out!

If you're searching for indoor activities in Sokcho to escape the summer heat or a rainy day,
you absolutely have to add Dynamic Maze and Alive Heart to your itinerary.
My family and I stayed cool, laughed a ton, and walked away with a camera roll full of fantastic photos.
For an unforgettable and active indoor experience during your 2026 Sokcho trip,
give Dynamic Maze a try!
The cheapest way is to purchase 2 Couple Packages (for 2 people, ~$17) through Naver Booking, which allows access to both areas. By booking this way, you can save a total of ~$1 compared to buying 4 individual Action Packages.
The operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. For parking, you can use the outdoor parking lot located right in front of the Dynamic Maze building.
After entering, you can store your shoes, valuables, items in your pockets, and any other belongings at risk of being lost in the provided lockers. The experience is conducted in an escape room format, where you must complete missions in each section—such as stepping on buttons to earn points or screaming above a certain decibel level—to proceed to the next area.
You can take realistic trick art photos that look like staged scenes using backgrounds of famous movie scenes or sculptures. There is a shadow silhouette photo zone and a dark glow-in-the-dark area, and at the end, there is a space where you can write words using Lego bricks.
