Dallas, Texas Car Rental Travel Recommendations & How to Find Europcar at Dallas Airport
📍 Europcar Dallas Airport DFW | Dallas Fort Worth
2424 E 38th St, Dallas, TX 75261 USA
📍 Terminal D
Terminal D, 2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261 USA
All car rental offices at Dallas Airport are
located at the Car Rental Center outside the airport.
Korean Air uses Terminal D,
so you'll need to take the car rental shuttle bus that circulates the airport.

After collecting your luggage, you'll see Gate D22 straight ahead,
and if you exit there, you'll find the shuttle bus stop on your left.

Car rental shuttle buses run continuously every 10-15 minutes,
and there's only one type of shuttle, regardless of the rental company.
The shuttle circulates through various terminals before heading to the Car Rental Center,
but with clear announcements and everyone disembarking together,
finding your way wasn't difficult at all.

1. How to Book Dallas Car Rental at the Lowest Price
In the past, I often booked directly on global brand websites
like Hertz or Avis.
This time, after comparing several companies,
I found that the price difference was quite significant.
So, I first compared all car rental prices
on KAYAK,
and then, under the same conditions,
I booked through QEEQ, which was the cheapest.

Being able to compare prices from multiple companies at once
made it easy to find the cheapest conditions,
and booking was also easy to do in Korean.
I booked the car by sorting from the cheapest available options,
and it was a compact-to-mid-size vehicle, comfortable enough for 2-3 people
to use conveniently.

When booking by connecting from Kayak to QEEQ,
I found it super convenient that I didn't have to create a separate account.

Even after being redirected to the QEEQ site,
there were no changes in price or terms,
which gave me great confidence to go ahead and book!

You can check the rental conditions in more detail on the QEEQ website, but here's a crucial tip:
if you're driving in Texas, USA, you'll need an International Driving Permit!
Make sure you bring your International Driving Permit, your domestic driver's license,
AND a credit card in your own name for the security deposit.
Don't forget any of these when you head to pick up your car!

Also, if you're under 25,
be aware that an additional fee might apply when you pick up the car.

You can also thoroughly review the details about the security deposit charged on-site
before you make your reservation.
In my case, a deposit of $150 was charged initially,
and then it was canceled after I returned the car.

You can always add extra options if you need them.
For example, if you need a child seat, I highly recommend adding it to your reservation in advance,
as they might not have stock available when you arrive.
For additional drivers, I'd suggest adding them on the spot if possible,
because sometimes if they're family, they might even add them for free!
(This time, I went without an additional driver.)

After reviewing all the details, you're ready to book!
I loved that I could pay the confirmed amount in Korean Won,
which meant no extra fees and a really budget-friendly deal.
You can compare the lowest prices for Dallas car rentals and book right here.

2. How to Pick Up Your Eurocar

From Terminal D at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, I hopped on a shuttle bus that took me straight to the rental car center.
Once you get off at the stop, you'll see that each company's location is clearly marked,
making it super easy to find the one you booked with!

True to Texas style, the rental car center was absolutely massive!
Inside, it was blissfully cool, almost chilly, which was absolutely perfect!

The company I had booked with was Eurocar.
It turns out they operate in partnership with Fox Rent A Car.
I submitted the reservation number from the voucher I received by email,
my International Driving Permit, Korean driver's license, and credit card,
and they asked me to write my email address, Korean address in English, and two phone numbers
on a Post-it note, which I did.

While confirming everything before pick-up,
they did offer options for insurance, toll usage, and fuel prepayment,
but it wasn't a pushy atmosphere at all.
I didn't opt for any additional coverage or services.
When it came time to sign the documents for the rental,
I completed it digitally on a touchpad.

Once the reservation was confirmed, they gave me the completed documents
and the pick-up receipt.
The documents were also sent via email,
so I could easily check them again later.

Holding the pick-up receipt, I headed to the vehicle pick-up zone.
Since this is where all the rental car companies gather their vehicles,
I found a wide array of cars waiting.

Europcar was located at the very end,
and my reserved vehicle was waiting right in front.

After handing over the pick-up documents,
they gave me the keys along with a self-inspection checklist
for the vehicle's condition.
Just to be safe, I meticulously checked the car all around
and marked down any scratches I found.
Once I handed in the checklist,
I could start using the car right away, without any fuss.
The process was so straightforward that even if you're not fully confident in English,
you could easily manage it.
3. Europcar Vehicle Review

The car I received was a Nissan Versa,
a neat, subcompact model.

The interior was spotless, and it didn't have too many miles on it,
making it a great value for money.
Since the car supported Apple CarPlay,
I could use Google Maps with ease.
It also had lane assist, rear sensors, and a rearview camera,
which helped me drive safely.
What impressed me most was the excellent air conditioning and lack of any unpleasant odors,
allowing us to travel comfortably even during a hot Dallas summer.

For returns, you also need to head to the rental car center.
Just follow Google Maps towards the rental car center,
and then look for the 'Return car' signs.

Each rental car company has its own designated lane or alley to enter,
for Eurocar, you'll want to head into the very last alley.
The signage is excellent, so if you follow it slowly,
you'll easily find the Eurocar return location.
Returning the car was incredibly simple,
I just left it where they told me to stop and handed over the keys,
and they said I was good to go without any special checks. How convenient!

After returning the car, you'll re-enter the main center
and make your way to the shuttle bus boarding area.

If you're flying with Korean Air,
you'll want to head towards Terminal D.
For other airlines, simply confirm your terminal
and hop on the shuttle bus.
Dallas Rental Car Top Tips

In Dallas, most tourist attractions
have well-equipped parking lots.
However, parking fees at tourist attractions can be quite expensive,
and street parking is often cheaper or even free in many places.
Before entering a tourist attraction's parking lot,
I recommend checking around for a block or two nearby.

One crucial thing to be aware of when traveling in Texas during summer is that
most parking lots in the US don't have roofs.
This means your car will get incredibly hot after parking,
so before picking up the kids, I highly recommend the driver "sacrifices" themselves first
to cool down the car's interior before everyone else gets in.
Also, it's best not to leave items sensitive to heat in the car,
like portable chargers, drinks, or chocolate.
If you have a car sun visor, definitely bring it along!

Bottom Line
A rental car is absolutely essential for exploring Dallas and its surroundings! Book at the lowest price for amazing value.
All car rental offices at Dallas Airport are located at the Car Rental Center outside the airport. Korean Air passengers should exit through Gate D22 at Terminal D and take the car rental shuttle bus from the shuttle bus stop on the left. Shuttle buses operate every 10-15 minutes.
It is recommended to first compare prices from various car rental companies on KAYAK. Subsequently, booking through QEEQ, which offered the lowest price under the same conditions, is effective in finding the best deal.
An international driving permit, a domestic driving license, and a credit card in your own name for deposit payment are required. A deposit of $150 will be charged on-site and will be canceled after the vehicle is returned.
The vehicle received in the article was a Nissan Versa subcompact model. This car supported Apple CarPlay, making Google Maps easy to use, and was equipped with lane and rear sensors and a rearview camera.
Most parking lots in Texas are uncovered, causing vehicle interior temperatures to become very high in the summer. Therefore, it is advisable not to leave heat-sensitive items such as power banks, beverages, or chocolates in the car, and bringing a car sun visor is recommended.
