Searching for a convenient and budget-friendly stay in Hanoi's vibrant Old Quarter? Concon House offers prime location, cozy rooms, and warm hospitality for your 2026 trip.
If you're planning a trip to Hanoi, you'll find that most of the must-see spots, like the bustling Old Quarter and the serene Hoan Kiem Lake, are clustered together. That's why choosing your accommodation strategically, perhaps right in the heart of the Hoan Kiem area or nestled between there and the Old Quarter, is a game-changer. Imagine wrapping up a day of exploring and simply strolling back to your hotel without needing a Grab ride! It's incredibly convenient for popping in if you need something or just want a quick break.
On my last visit, I specifically looked for a place in that sweet spot, and I was genuinely impressed with what I found. So, I'm excited to share this hidden gem with you!
Why Concon House Stands Out
📍 Concon House
11+13 Ng. Nội Miếu, Hàng Buồm, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội, 베트남
This charming spot is tucked away in an alley within the Old Quarter's historic streets. You're literally a two-minute walk from the famous Ta Hien Beer Street, and Hoan Kiem Lake is just around the corner. I've actually stayed right next door before, and the advantage of this prime location is consistent: you're close to all the main action, yet insulated from the street noise thanks to its alleyway setting.
Finding it might be a little tricky if you're relying solely on Google Maps, as it's located at the very end of a small alley.

If you manage to locate this alley, you're on the right track! Just follow it all the way to the end, past a hostel you'll see on the right, and Concon House will be there.

Unlike some of the self-check-in places I've reviewed before, Concon House has staff on-site, just like many traditional Hanoi hotels. And let me tell you, they are incredibly friendly! There's a common area in the lobby on the first floor, and if you're working there, they'll often bring you coffee or tea.

Any Downsides?
While the value and location of this Hanoi accommodation are definite highlights, one minor drawback was the room size. My basic room type felt a bit compact. However, that's often the trade-off for such an affordable and centrally located option. Let's dive deeper into the room conditions below.
Rooms & Bathrooms

Despite the smaller room size, the interior design felt thoughtful and stylish, which made it perfectly acceptable, especially considering I chose it as a budget-friendly option in Hanoi.

The toilet and shower are conveniently separated, which is a nice touch, and there's no bathtub. You'll find a separate sink area in front of the shower, complete with amenities, a hairdryer, and fresh towels.
Other Facilities

On the first floor, the lobby also features a communal kitchen (though breakfast doesn't seem to be offered).

There's also a cozy, library-like common area. It's a fantastic spot to get some work done, and as a bonus, the staff will often bring you coffee or tea while you're there. No need to venture out for your caffeine fix!

For more detailed information, you can check the link above. Check-in is at 2:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM. You can even store your luggage before heading out to explore, and if you hang out in the lobby's common area, that friendly staff will surely bring you more coffee. I chose this spot for its excellent access to the Old Quarter, but next time, I'll be looking for a more tranquil Hanoi Hoan Kiem hotel further south, perhaps closer to Trang Tien. You can't miss that area when you visit Hanoi!
