A 2-Night Stay Review of This Budget-Friendly Gem with Free Breakfast

A long-awaited trip to Mokpo with my sibling!

When planning our trip, the thing we spent the most time agonizing over was

our accommodation! Since there are so many places to stay near Peace Square, we really struggled to choose the perfect spot.

Our top priorities were location, price,

and room condition!

After comparing quite a few places, we decided on the

Cloud In Hotel near Peace Square, and after spending two nights

there, I can say we were incredibly satisfied with our choice.

To give you the bottom line first: the rooms were spotless, the beds

were super comfortable, and it even came with free breakfast—

truly the ultimate value-for-money hotel!

With rates starting in the ~$38 range on weekdays and ~$58 range on weekends,

booking a room was surprisingly easy on the wallet.

Since it's located near Peace Square, it's highly accessible

from both Mokpo Station and Mokpo Bus Terminal. Moving around

any part of Mokpo city center from here was a breeze.

We arrived at Mokpo Bus Terminal all the way from Ulsan,

and walking to the hotel from the terminal was incredibly easy

and not taxing at all.

Peace Square is only about a 10-minute walk away, making it perfect

for an evening stroll. There are also tons of great restaurants and cafes nearby,

which made planning our daily itinerary super convenient.

Plus, the hotel has dual entrances on both sides,

making coming and going really convenient.

The hotel itself has great parking facilities, but there is also a huge

public parking lot right in front of it that is completely free! If you are

bringing a car, you won't have to worry about parking one bit.

1. Front Desk

The moment we stepped through the front doors, we were greeted by cool, crisp

air and a wonderful fragrance. My sibling and I looked at each other,

asking, "Is this really a 3-star hotel? Is it brand new?" We were so pleasantly surprised.

Usually, when you visit budget-friendly or 2-to-3-star accommodations, they tend to have

that damp, musty smell—but here, it was pure freshness right from the entrance!

The front welcome desk operates 24/7,

so no worries if you're arriving for a late check-in!

2. Cafeteria

This space functions as a breakfast area in the morning and transitions

into a free-to-use, 24-hour cafeteria during the rest of the day.

With coffee, water, soft drinks, and milk available 24/7,

it was so nice to grab a cup full of ice and make a refreshing drink

every single time we returned from our outings.

Thanks to this cafeteria, we actually ended up spending less money

on local cafes than we usually do during our trips, haha!

The complimentary breakfast was also quite good, and I plan to share

a dedicated post about that very soon!

3. Laundry Room

The laundry room is also free to use!

Equipped with both washers and dryers, it would be incredibly useful for multi-night visitors, long-term guests, or business travelers.

I also loved the fact that every single room is equipped

with premium Sealy mattresses.

Deluxe Double Room Condition

We were assigned to Room 507, a Deluxe Double Room!

The hotel has 9 floors in total, featuring a wide variety of room types.

From Deluxe Double, Deluxe Twin, Suite King,

Suite Family Twin, Superior Triple, and even a

Family Suite Pool Villa—there's something for everyone.

Accommodating anywhere from 1 to 15 guests, it's perfect for business travelers,

couples, friends, family vacations, and group trips alike.

In fact, seeing everyone in the elevator and lobby, there were plenty of couples,

friends traveling together, families traveling with their parents,

and even large multi-generational families staying here!

It really is a versatile spot.

The moment I stepped into the room, the thing I loved most was

the squeaky-clean floor.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of carpeted hotel floors,

but since this was a hard floor, there was less dust and walking around barefoot

didn't feel uncomfortable at all.

I think this is a huge plus for anyone with sensitive airways

or families traveling with kids.

And of course, the Sealy bed I mentioned earlier!!

Since it's a premium mattress often used in luxury hotels,

I slept like an absolute baby during my 2-night stay.

When a bed is uncomfortable on a trip, it ruins your energy for the next day,

but this time, I woke up feeling 100% recharged.

There was a small table and a cozy sofa right next to the bed,

which was perfect for having a quick snack or just winding down,

and it even came with soft mood lighting and a wireless charger.

Aside from the wireless phone charger, you can also borrow

wired chargers, hair straighteners, and even laptops at the front desk.

Definitely a handy tip if you ever need them!

Right opposite the bed was a massive TV with free Netflix

streaming, and every room is equipped with an air purifier

and a Styler as standard.

There were plenty of hangers, and throwing my clothes into the Styler

after a long day of exploring made them feel so fresh the next morning.

It seriously upgraded my overall travel experience.

This is an amazing amenity that both business travelers

and leisure tourists will absolutely love.

They provide disposable slippers and comfy bathrobes

instead of reusable ones, so you don't even need to pack your own pajamas,

and there were 3 bottles of chilled water waiting in the fridge.

These days, so many places don't offer toothbrushes or toothpaste anymore,

but this hotel had such a generous setup of basic amenities

that you can literally just show up empty-handed! haha

The hair dryer was super powerful too, so even with my thick hair,

I got it dry in no time.

The bathroom was also spotlessly clean without a single water stain!

Hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all fully stocked,

and the water pressure was amazing, making shower time so relaxing.

Overall Thoughts

If you're looking for a place to stay near Peace Square for your Mokpo trip or business travel,

I highly recommend Cloud In Hotel!!

The location is perfect, the rooms are pristine, and they offer top-notch perks like a Styler, Sealy bed, and free breakfast—all at a very reasonable rate,

making it an incredible value.

I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, while my sibling stayed for 4 days and 3 nights,

and both of us had an incredibly comfortable stay without a single complaint.

It's a highly popular spot near Peace Square,

and I actually saw that it was fully booked during our stay.
