Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok Review 2026: Ideal for Group Stays
Planning a Bangkok trip for three? Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok offers spacious suites, included breakfast, a gorgeous pool, and convenient shuttle service. Discover why it's ideal!

When planning our trip to Bangkok,
we had 4 must-have conditions for our accommodation:
1. Since it was a trip for three siblings, we needed separate sleeping setups.
2. Breakfast must be included.
3. The pool had to be incredibly Instagram-worthy!
4. It must offer a shuttle bus service.
And the hotel that checked every single one of these boxes was
Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok!!
So, let's take a detailed look
at the room conditions, shall we? :)

We booked through Agoda because it was the cheapest option at the time,
and even looking it up now, Agoda still has the best rates.
I'd say it was an excellent choice!
Checking in to our Bangkok Hotel

We landed at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport around 5:00 AM
and headed straight to the hotel in a private pickup service
that we pre-booked online.
We arrived early because our plan was to drop off our luggage,
get our makeup done, and head straight to Wat Arun.

Just for reference, the standard check-in time at Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok starts at 2:00 PM,
and check-out is by 12:00 PM!

After getting out of the car, we headed inside,
showed them our Agoda booking confirmation,
and let them know that we just wanted to drop off our bags and check in later.
The staff assisted us right away!
The Lobby Restroom

Once we stored our luggage,
my sister and I told our younger brother to wait in the lobby
while we headed to the first-floor restroom.
We had traveled overnight without a speck of makeup and looked a bit rough,
but this first-floor restroom was an absolute lifesaver
for us sisters who desperately needed a space to get ready!

The restroom and vanity space were completely separate,
and above all, it was incredibly clean.
If you're arriving on an early morning flight like us,
I highly recommend dropping off your bags and getting ready here at Chatrium Sathon!
(Since it was so early, we had the whole place to ourselves!)

Also, the mirror inside the first-floor lobby restroom
is a total photo zone! The pictures turn out so bright and clean.
Somehow the two of us ended up dressed in matching black and white.
After taking a few quick snaps, we headed back out.

We had asked our brother to guard our luggage,
but when we finished our makeup and walked out, he was fast asleep. ^^
Oh dear... if you slept like this in Europe, you'd get pickpocketed in a heartbeat!

After wrapping up all our plans for the day,
we headed back to the hotel to officially check in.
During check-in, they handed us a map of Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok
along with a price list for their spa massages!
(Quick tip: Wara Massage right in front of the hotel is way cheaper and highly recommended!)
Since the pool, breakfast restaurant, and room connection pathways
are all located on the 4th floor, that's where you'll want to head first.

They also shared the schedule
for the complimentary hotel shuttle bus.
If you want to use the shuttle service,
just let the lobby staff know the day before.
I'll make sure to write a detailed review of the shuttle service in a future post!
Room Tour & Condition
Now, let's go check out the room!
The Living Room
The moment we stepped inside, we were amazed
by how incredibly spacious it was.
It seriously felt like a cozy home—so much so
that I immediately wished I could stay here for a month.

Pardon the slight mess since we had already dumped our bags on the table, but
here is the overall vibe of the space!
To the left, there's a separate kitchen and bedroom,
while the living room features a dining table and a sofa.

The welcome fruit selection was on the simpler side,
but we had the ultimate savior—our room fridge!
The review of the amazing free drinks
is coming up right below!!!

Outside, we had a nice city view.
Since there weren't any tall buildings blocking us directly in front,
we could leave the curtains wide open,
and the room got the most beautiful natural sunlight!

Also, that sofa is dangerously comfortable.
If you sit down even for a second, you might pass right out.
I made the mistake of sitting down before taking a shower,
and woke up completely knocked out a while later...
The Kitchen
Let's head over to the kitchen!
There's an induction cooktop with the sink directly opposite it,
along with a full-sized refrigerator.
If you go all the way to the back of the kitchen,
it connects to the balcony so you can step outside,
but honestly, Bangkok is too hot for that—so you probably won't use it much!

One of the best perks of Chatrium Residence Sathon!
All the drinks in the fridge are completely free!!!!
It was fully stocked with water, sparkling water, coconut water, Coke, and other sodas.
Even if you don't drink the water and leave it there,
they'll still restock and give you extra
the next day!

There's a 7-Eleven right next to the hotel,
making it the perfect spot for a convenience store run, right?
And since the kitchen is equipped with a microwave and an electric kettle,
eating late-night snacks was incredibly convenient!

Of course, cups and cutlery are fully provided!
There were also large plates, which were super handy for slicing up
fresh fruit we bought from the local truck right in front of the hotel.
In so many ways, it was a super convenient place to enjoy a meal! :)
The Bedroom
Heading inside, you'll find the bedroom and the bathroom.
Having the living room, kitchen, and bedroom all separated like this...
...made staying here incredibly comfortable!
Even for just a 3-night stay, it totally upgraded the quality of our trip!!

When we first walked in, the extra bedding hadn't arrived yet,
so there was just the one double bed.
At check-in, they told us the extra bed would be set up around 7 PM,
so we showered, relaxed, and waited for it to arrive!

My sister and I took the double bed,
and my younger brother used the extra bed!
We were so exhausted that I only took this photo the next morning—
so excuse the very "lived-in" look! haha

There was a wardrobe, a cozy single armchair,
and even a separate TV right in the bedroom.
If you're looking for room slippers, you'll find them inside the wardrobe!
Bathroom & Shower
They had almost all the essentials ready, including a hairdryer, hand soap, lotion,
shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
So, we only had to unpack our personal facial cleansers and just used the hotel amenities for the rest.

As for towels, they restock them daily during the housekeeping service.
Or, if you skip the room cleaning and just want fresh towels,
you can easily request them separately!
Shower Filter

This has pretty much become a must-have for traveling in Southeast Asia, hasn't it?
Out of habit, I always pack a shower head filter and swap it out at every place we stay.
I definitely recommend bringing a shower filter for Chatrium Residence Sathon as well!
I took this picture on checkout day after the three of us stayed for 3 nights—
it looks like it filtered out quite a bit, right?
I highly recommend replacing the filter cartridge
every time you move to a new hotel!
Hotel Wi-Fi

There was no separate password for the Wi-Fi;
instead, you just enter the guest booking information.
Once you select the network,
just enter your room number, last name, and email
to log in.
