Cassia Sokcho Hotel Ocean View Stay Review

Looking for an ocean view hotel in Sokcho, Gangwon-do?
How about an ocean view hotel with an infinity pool while you're at it?
At Cassia Sokcho in Gangwon-do, every single room comes with an ocean view!
And it's not just the infinity pool—they've also got an indoor pool, a kids' pool,
and even a rooftop pet playground!
It's the ultimate staycation spot
perfect for couples, families, and pet owners alike.
It's still so new that it definitely has that fresh, modern hotel vibe,
meaning the room condition is absolutely pristine.
Plus, it's surrounded by tons of amazing local restaurants,
making it famous for its incredible location.
If you missed out on the budget-friendly rooms during the peak season in July and August,
secure your dates early with a package in the ~$128 range between September and November!
Lock in your dates now and start planning your getaway.
After all, going during the slightly cheaper shoulder season
just feels like a much smarter deal, doesn't it? ~

Cassia Sokcho Ocean View Building A vs. Building B
What's the difference?
To jump straight to the conclusion: there is no difference.
Both are accommodation buildings facing the ocean.
If you choose an Ocean View room, there's absolutely no difference.
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room Ocean View on the 19th floor of Building A,
so keep that in mind as you read through this review!

1. A Quick Look at Cassia Sokcho

🏨 Cassia Sokcho ✎ Cassia Sokcho [ Agoda ] [ Booking.com ] [ Trip.com ] |
Since summer is the peak travel season,
the budget-friendly rooms are already mostly booked up,
leaving the remaining rooms with pool access in the ~$192 to ~$256 range.
Considering they include infinity pool access or breakfast,
it's actually not bad for a 5-star hotel during peak season. But what if it's still a bit too pricey?
As a great alternative, I highly recommend the Chestertons Sokcho Hotel!
Chestertons also has a fantastic pool,
but since you can book it in the ~$64 range,
it consistently maintains a stellar rating of over 9 out of 10.

Here's another pro-tip for booking!
If you book in advance for the autumn foliage season in October and November...
You can snag a room in the ~$128 range!
When can we expect the 2026 Sokcho autumn foliage peak?
The colors around Sokcho's Yeonglangho Lake and Seoraksan Mountain
are expected to peak between late October and the second week of November.
Plus, keep in mind that the Cassia Sokcho infinity pool
is heated and open all four seasons!
If you secure a harbor-view room in the low ~$128 range
and enjoy both the autumn leaves and the heated pool,
isn't that the ultimate two-in-one deal?
Since they offer free cancellation,
it's best to book early while prices are low.
Once the peak autumn season arrives, prices will definitely skyrocket again!

2. Ocean View Deluxe King Room Review

As soon as I stepped into my room at
Cassia Sokcho, a highly popular 5-star hotel in Gangwon-do,
I was immediately wrapped in a cozy, welcoming vibe.
The warm, subtle lighting and natural wood-toned furniture
anchored the space, while pops of blue and yellow
added a chic, stylish touch to the overall color palette.
With charging ports and handy bedside shelves
on both sides of the bed, it was incredibly convenient.
You can really feel that thoughtful 5-star hotel attention to detail.

Here's a look at the overall layout and flow
of the Ocean View Deluxe King Room at Cassia Sokcho!
True to its resort-style design, right as you open the door,
you'll find a fully equipped kitchenette complete with an induction cooktop,
a sink, and neatly organized tableware for basic cooking.
📌 Pro Tip: Advance baby equipment rental (First-come, first-served)
Baby crib, baby tub, bed guards,
humidifier, air purifier, step stool, and wagon

When you're planning a family staycation with kids,
kitchen facilities are always a huge deciding factor, right?
In that department, Cassia Sokcho gets a solid pass!
While cooking meats, fried foods, or fish in the room
is prohibited due to lingering odors,
having an induction stove and a kettle makes it
super easy to prep quick meals for the little ones.
While there isn't a microwave directly inside the room,
you can easily use the one in the on-site convenience store, so it wasn't an issue at all!
In fact, the convenience store has a gorgeous ocean-view cafe vibe,
so just sitting by the tables there was a lovely experience in itself.

The bathroom interior is also unified with a soft wood tone,
giving it a calm yet luxurious vibe.
A space that puts you in a great mood thanks to its clean, sleek design!
Plus, the bathroom is quite spacious,
so when you come back from the pool
or after playing in the Sokcho sea,
the layout makes it so easy and comfortable to wash up.
Because of the eco-friendly initiative to reduce single-use plastics,
toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so make sure to bring your own!
But don't worry, all the other basic amenities are fully provided.

The indoor slippers are super plush and comfy, too!
3. Infinity Pool, Sauna, and Other Amenities

Is the Cassia Sokcho infinity pool paid?
Adults (ages 12 and up): ~$38,
Children (37 months to 11 years): ~$19,
and toddlers (36 months and under) are free.
That's why you definitely shouldn't miss out on
the Cassia Sokcho 'Infinity Pool Included' Package
running until July 28th!
Includes infinity pool access for 2 adults
Harbor view rooms start from ~$128,
and Ocean view rooms start from ~$192!
The Cassia Sokcho swimming facilities
are divided into three areas: the Infinity Pool, Kids Pool, and Indoor Pool.
They are perfectly equipped with everything from
sunbeds and parasols to locker rooms and showers.

Grabbing some delicious pastries from Cassia Sokcho's Horizon cafe
and enjoying them in the comfort of your room is a great option!
But then again, with so many amazing restaurants
near Sokcho Daepo Port right outside the hotel,
you'll find yourself happily spoiled for choice.

If you can only go on a staycation during the weekend,
you might worry that the breakfast venue
will be too crowded and hectic.
However, they run a 3-part breakfast system
that allows you to eat even after checking out,
so you can enjoy your morning meal stress-free and at your own pace!
