2. How to Get from Fukuoka to Nagasaki

It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from Fukuoka to Nagasaki via the Nishikyushu Shinkansen.

When you consider it used to take nearly 3 hours by limited express train, the accessibility has certainly improved dramatically.

Ticket prices are in the ~$44 range.

However, I personally recommend taking the express bus over the Shinkansen.

You can depart from Fukuoka Airport, Hakata Station, or whichever location suits you best. The travel time is around 2 hours, not much different from the Shinkansen, but you can get there more affordably without any transfers.
