The cafe opens at 11:00 AM. We arrived around 11:20 AM after grabbing an early lunch of traditional buckwheat noodles at the nearby restaurant "Memilkkot Pil Muryeob." Since it was a busy holiday weekend, the parking lot was already completely full!

This is a full-scale bakery cafe offering a fantastic selection of freshly baked goods. From classic sweet red bean buns and chestnut bread to cream-filled pastries, there is plenty to choose from depending on your cravings.

Their famous salt bread (shio pan) looked incredibly golden and delicious! If you are a pastry lover, you will be in heaven here.🥐

They also sell their own custom merchandise, including beautifully designed mugs and plates that make perfect souvenirs from your trip.

What does Trigo mean?

It translates to "wheat" in Portuguese, but here in Pyeongchang, it represents their specialty: local buckwheat!

Because of this, the cafe features unique, buckwheat-infused specialty drinks and ice creams.

The beverage selection is massive. I love how they incorporate local buckwheat to create unique flavors you cannot find anywhere else.

It was incredibly crowded, so we had to wait a bit to secure a table! haha

They even set up a dedicated indoor photo zone featuring a beautifully shaped tree and the Cafe Trigo logo as a backdrop!

We finally scored a spot!

It was a bar table right in front of the massive floor-to-ceiling window. The view of the blooming hydrangeas outside was absolutely stunning.🤍

Bathed in warm, beautiful sunlight, this spot is perfect for relaxing and soaking in the season.

We ordered their signature Buckwheat Ice Cream Latte. It came out looking absolutely adorable!

The best way to enjoy it is to scoop up and savor the rich, nutty buckwheat ice cream first, and then drink the smooth latte. It was so savory, sweet, and comforting!

During our visit, they were running a Naver Receipt Review promotion where you could get a free iced Americano to-go. We quickly wrote a review and grabbed a free coffee for the road!
