Cafe Plusminus Hongcheon Review 2026: Must-Try Milk Tea & Parking

My hometown is Hongcheon, but lately, whenever I visit, I tend to stay at home and haven't had much reason to venture into the town center.

However, during a recent meal out with my husband near the terminal, I stumbled upon an absolutely adorable new cafe!

Let me introduce you to 'Plusminus,' one of the newest cafes to open in Hongcheon.⁺˚⋆｡°✩₊

That sign proclaiming 'Gangwon Province's #1 Milk Tea' immediately caught my eye from a distance! It’s quite the statement, isn't it?

We parked in the public parking lot, had our meal, and then headed over to the cafe. There's public parking right in front of the cafe, which is super convenient!

Here’s what the exterior of Plusminus Hongcheon looks like. It had a modular, almost 'assembled' feel to it.

At first, I was a bit confused about the entrance, so take note: the photos you're looking at right now are NOT the main entrance‼️

The actual entrance is located directly opposite Lens Me, next to the Hongcheon Farmers Market (Hanaro Mart Hongcheon Nonghyup Main Branch) parking lot!

The standard milk tea size is 250mL and costs ~$3!

A size up to 350mL is ~$3.

The Americano is also quite affordable at ~$2.

With today's prices, a coffee for ~$2 is a precious find!🫧

They also offer Cafe Latte, Vanilla Latte,

Chamomile Herbal Tea, and Peach Iced Tea.

Prices range from ~$2 to ~$3, which is great because nothing on the menu exceeds ~$4!

We ordered an Iced Americano + Iced Milk Tea for takeout 👍

The milk tea concentrate is ~$7, making it a perfect gift or a great option to enjoy at home 🎁

I couldn't photograph the other side of the cafe because customers were seated there, but the space is quite spacious. It's the perfect spot to grab a coffee after a meal in Hongcheon's town center (though locals affectionately call it 'eupnae' or small town center ^^).

With our new home move-in date approaching, I find myself constantly noticing interior design elements like these.

The cafe’s interior is stylish and clean, making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a milk tea with friends or family 𓎺 𓈒 𓏸 ₊˚

I was so excited to try my drink that I completely forgot to take a picture before diving in! 😭ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

☕️The Iced Americano had more acidity than a nutty flavor. I personally enjoy acidic coffee, but it's something to note if you prefer a milder taste!

🧋The Milk Tea was absolutely delicious! I'm not usually a fan of overly sweet milk teas, as I feel it detracts from the true flavor.

But Plusminus's milk tea wasn't too sweet at all; it was smooth and wonderfully fragrant.

I definitely plan to revisit Plusminus the next time I'm in Hongcheon, and I'm curious to check out their Chuncheon main branch too 😊

I highly recommend this new Hongcheon cafe for anyone looking for a great spot to visit!🫧
