Craving a unique coffee experience in LA? Cafe Dulce's viral blueberry matcha latte is a game-changer. Find out which location is best for you and what else to try!

Hey there, fellow travelers! I'm your guide, Ongsang.
You know that buzzing LA cafe Korean influencer Lee Young-ji raved about on her Instagram story? Well, curiosity got the best of me, and I had to check it out myself!

Cafe Dulce boasts several fantastic locations across Los Angeles. Here's a quick rundown:
1. USC Village
📍 Cafe Dulce (USC Village)
3096 McClintock Ave Ste 1420, Los Angeles, CA 90007 USA
2. Little Tokyo
📍 Cafe Dulce (Little Tokyo)
134 Japanese Village Plaza Mall, Los Angeles, CA 90012 USA
3. Row DTLA (The location Lee Young-ji visited!)
📍 Cafe Dulce
777 S Alameda St #150, Los Angeles, CA 90021 USA

Lee Young-ji stopped by the Row DTLA location, and it's a fantastic choice if you're looking for more than just a coffee stop. Row DTLA itself is a vibrant hub, packed with unique stores, delicious restaurants, and art galleries, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Plus, if your visit falls on a Sunday, you're in for a treat! The famous Smorgasburg LA food market sets up shop there every week, offering an incredible array of culinary delights. So, if you've got a Sunday free, the Row DTLA branch is definitely the way to go!
However, I personally recommend the USC Village location. It's incredibly convenient, with a Trader Joe's and Target right next door – perfect for grabbing your coffee and then tackling your grocery or shopping list.

If you're driving around LA, this spot is even better, as the Village parking lot offers the first two hours free! It's a rare find in a city where parking can be a headache, allowing you to enjoy your coffee, browse the shops, and soak in the lively university atmosphere without any stress.

My order? The legendary Blueberry Matcha Latte, with an added espresso shot.
I was craving coffee but didn't want two separate drinks, so this was the perfect compromise.
The subtle hint of blueberry truly shines, beautifully complementing the matcha's earthy bitterness. And that espresso shot? It's a game-changer, adding a crisp, clean finish that ties everything together.
Even if you're not typically a matcha fan, you'll likely enjoy this – it's an excellent gateway drink!
Seriously, I can't recommend adding that espresso shot enough; it perfectly balances the sweetness and enhances the overall flavor profile.

While the drinks are famous, Dulce's bakery selection is equally impressive! They offer a delightful variety of croissants, cookies, scones, donuts, and cakes, making it hard to choose just one.
I only indulged in a drink this time, but I'm already planning my next visit to dive into their tempting pastries.
As a little bonus tip (and a happy discovery!), after my coffee at Dulce, I popped into the Trader Joe's at USC Village and found that they had restocked their popular reusable eco-bags – an item that's often hard to find!

This really highlights why the USC Village location is so great; you can easily spend hours browsing Trader Joe's and Target right after your coffee, making it a perfect one-stop spot for your LA errands and treats.
Ongsang's Takeaway

While Lee Young-ji's shout-out certainly boosted its fame, Cafe Dulce's Blueberry Matcha Latte was already a beloved local favorite.
Its unique flavor profile is a delight for matcha enthusiasts and a pleasant surprise for those new to the drink.
If you're exploring LA and find a Cafe Dulce location nearby, I highly recommend stopping in for a taste of this iconic beverage!
Lee Young-ji visited the Row DTLA branch. This branch is excellent for exploring, as it offers many attractions such as stores, restaurants, and galleries. The Smorgasburg LA food market is also held there every Sunday.
The USC Village branch is convenient for grabbing coffee and shopping, as it houses both Trader Joe's and Target. Additionally, the first 2 hours of parking at the Village parking lot are free, allowing for stress-free and easy access.
Dulce recommends a Blueberry Matcha Latte with an added shot of espresso. This drink features a subtle blueberry aroma that gently softens the bitter notes of matcha, while the espresso provides a clean finish. It's also a great introduction to matcha, as even those who typically dislike matcha can enjoy its taste.
