Busan to Okinawa Direct Flights 2026: Prices & 3-Night Itinerary

While looking for flights to Okinawa,

this time I checked flights departing from Busan, not Incheon.

There's a direct flight from Busan to Okinawa,

and the timings turned out to be better than I expected.

What's great about the flight I found this time is that

even though the price is low, it includes 15kg of checked baggage,

and it departs from Busan in the morning,

arriving in Okinawa around 10 AM.

So, there wasn't much reason

to switch to a more expensive ticket for different timings, haha!

That's why I compared the prices for November and December,

for 3 nights and 4 days, covering both weekdays and weekends.

1. November, December Flight Prices

I looked for direct flights from Busan Gimhae Airport to Okinawa Naha Airport

for a 3-night, 4-day itinerary.

Just looking at the prices,

the 3-night, 4-day weekday trip in November seemed the best.

What's noteworthy is that this wasn't one of those common deals where

the lowest price is cheap but doesn't include baggage,

or the flight times are inconvenient.

The timings were good,

and checked baggage was included,

so if I were flying from Busan to Okinawa,

I'd definitely consider this option.

Flight prices change constantly based on seat availability,

so it's always best to check the current price for your specific dates rather than relying solely on the figures above.

2. Trip.com Discount Code

Once you've chosen your flight,

I always try to add a discount code at the very end, haha!

The Trip.com flight code I'm currently using is

Assuming it's successfully applied at the actual payment stage:

For the November weekday flight at ~$198,

a discount of ~$6 brings it to about ~$192,

for the December weekday flight at ~$221,

a discount of ~$7 brings it to about ~$215.

If the price exceeds ~$296 (400,000 KRW), like the December weekend flight,

the 3% discount would exceed the maximum discount amount,

3. Weekday vs. Weekend

Looking at these prices,

I felt that for Okinawa too, the difference in departure day makes quite a big impact.

Especially if you're planning a 3-night, 4-day trip,

if you don't absolutely need to depart on a Friday,

trying to shift your dates to a weekday

seems like the easiest way to save on airfare.

If I can adjust my travel dates,

I don't immediately book after seeing weekend prices,

instead, I try moving them a few days forward or backward

and usually look for Tuesday or other weekday departures first.

This method worked out pretty well in my recent search too!

4. Weather in November and December

After looking at flight prices,

I found myself checking the weather conditions too.

Even if the price is a bit cheaper,

it might give you pause if it's too cold to enjoy your trip, right?

Looking at the weather screen for the dates I compared,

from November 17th to 20th,

the daytime high temperatures were around 25-26 degrees Celsius,

and morning/evening temperatures were shown as around 20-21 degrees Celsius.

At these temperatures, it looks like you could even wear a short-sleeved shirt during the day,

but I'd definitely pack a light long-sleeved top or a cardigan.

On the other hand, from December 8th to 11th,

daytime highs were around 22-23 degrees Celsius,

and morning/evening temperatures dropped to about 15-17 degrees Celsius.

December isn't as cold as winter in Korea,

but considering the sea breeze,

rather than just packing a short-sleeved shirt,

it would be good to have a light windbreaker or a thin outer layer.

Weather forecasts can change as the departure date approaches, so

reconfirming right before your trip is an absolute must.

Putting the price and current temperatures side-by-side,

I'm leaning a bit more towards November, haha!

5. Direct Flight Timings

One of the reasons I liked the Busan departure was

more about the arrival and departure times than the flight duration itself.

The November weekday itinerary is:

Depart Busan at 08:05, arrive Okinawa at 10:05.

The return flight is also:

Depart Okinawa at 11:30, arrive Busan at 13:30.

If you arrive in Okinawa around 10 AM,

even after immigration and transfer, you can start your itinerary from lunch on the first day.

For a 3-night, 4-day trip,

being able to utilize almost the entire first day is quite a big deal, isn't it?

Many people rent cars to get around Okinawa, so

I'd prefer a direct flight that arrives in the morning like this,

rather than a cheaper flight that arrives late at night.

6. Checked Baggage

This time, regarding baggage,

there was no need to choose a more expensive ticket.

All four itineraries I looked into

included 15kg of checked baggage.

For a 3-night, 4-day trip to Okinawa,

you need to pack a fair amount of clothes,

and if you do some shopping, your suitcase might get heavier on the way back, right? ㅋㅋ

That's why, more than the price displayed in the initial search results,

I first check if checked baggage is included for both the outbound and return flights.

was great not just for the price and timings, but also for this aspect.

7. If I Were to Choose

If I were to book a flight from Busan to Okinawa right now,

I'd likely look at the 3-night, 4-day weekday itinerary in November first,

specifically the dates from November 17th to 20th.

The price was the lowest among the four itineraries,

it's a direct flight with a morning departure,

and it even includes 15kg of checked baggage.

Also, the weather in mid-November sees daytime temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius,

meaning you can travel more comfortably than in December,

which is quite a big advantage for me.

On the other hand, if you only have time on weekends,

you might want to compare the price differences between November and December.

When it comes to Okinawa flights,

instead of just looking for the absolute cheapest number,

considering travel dates, direct flight times, checked baggage,

and even the actual weather during your trip,

I found that the flights truly worth buying become much clearer, haha.
