After enduring the interior, stepping back outside finally reveals the palace's true allure. The exterior, a magnificent homage to Windsor Castle, is truly beautiful. It genuinely transports you to a grand European city.

The castle walls, enveloped by lush greenery, and the gardens are surely a spectacular sight when flowers bloom in spring and summer. Especially impressive are the centuries-old trees surrounding the palace, boasting a grandeur rarely seen elsewhere.

Ironically, this 'beautiful exterior' is precisely why you should consider visiting, at least once. The castle viewed from the outside is magnificent, but it's truly disheartening to know its interior is in such a dismal state of disrepair.

Why is Interior Photography Prohibited?

My theory? Perhaps the internal photography ban exists because the interior is so poorly maintained that if real photos circulated, no one would bother visiting.

This incredible asset, with its centuries-old trees and magnificent castle walls, desperately needs proper management before it's too late. While Bengaluru might not be brimming with tourist attractions, this level of neglect feels disrespectful to visitors.

That said, if you focus solely on the exterior, it's still a must-see. And those expansive gardens are said to transform into a vibrant flower paradise during spring and summer.
