Why Choose a Private Car for Your South Bali Tour?

The roads in South Bali are quite narrow and steep, so finding a Grab (ride-hailing service) can be challenging. It's highly recommended to do a tour, especially if you have luggage and want to visit specific spots. That's why I chose a private tour – it allowed us to customize our itinerary and explore at our own pace.

After visiting one spot, it was incredibly convenient to just hop into an air-conditioned car and move on to the next. Our guide even joined us at each attraction, offering explanations and taking fantastic photos for us, which made everything so much easier.

Tanabarak Cliff

10:40 AM ~ 11:40 AM

Our first stop on the South Bali tour was the incredibly popular Tanabarak Cliff, which is all the buzz these days.

The path carved through the massive rock formations was truly breathtaking.

📌Pro Tip! To capture that perfect 'life shot' here, I highly recommend visiting in the morning. In the afternoon, it gets crowded with Chinese tourists and the scorching sun can make photography quite challenging.

Melasti Beach - Pamilla

12:00 PM ~ 2:30 PM

Next, we made a quick 15-minute drive to Melasti Beach. Melasti Beach actually has an entrance fee, but it was super convenient because all vehicle entrance fees were included in our tour price!

We arrived at Pamilla Beach Club at 12 PM and stayed until 2:30 PM, enjoying our time there. During this time, our driver had some free time.

This beach club boasts stunning blue waters and cliff views that are hard to find in areas like Canggu, Seminyak, or Kuta. It's the perfect spot to have lunch and relax, so I definitely recommend it as part of your South Bali tour!

Uluwatu Temple

2:50 PM ~ 3:40 PM

A 20-minute drive brought us to Uluwatu Temple! Our guide handled buying the entrance tickets every time, which made getting in incredibly smooth.

Uluwatu Temple, one of Bali's six principal temples, is perched spectacularly on the edge of a cliff,

and its scenery is simply art.

The monkeys here are famous for snatching glasses and phones. Our guide constantly kept the monkeys from approaching, provided explanations, and even helped us secure great photo spots, which made everything so comfortable.

You could walk around and relax here, but we just took photos in various spots for about 40 minutes and then left. That was plenty of time for us.

Suluban Beach

15:50~ 16:30

A 10-minute drive in an air-conditioned car brought us to Suluban Beach.

There are many restaurants and cafes along the 10-minute walk down the narrow, steep stairs, so if you have time, it's a great spot to take a break.

There aren't many signposts, but our guide showed us the way and even came down with us to take photos. They were so friendly, which made me feel great all day!

Suluban Beach is perfect for taking photos and enjoying the scenery, so we didn't spend too much time there.

📌The up and down walk here isn't as tough as you might think, but flip-flops can be tricky. Sandals are highly recommended! You might also want to wear your swimsuit underneath!

Single Fin or Your Preferred Restaurant

4:30 ~ 5:30

You could have a meal at the famous Single Fin Beach Club located right at Suluban Beach. However, I had just visited a beach club, so I opted for a popular cafe instead.

BAKED Cafe, just a 5-minute walk from Suluban Beach, is a place I also visited in Canggu, and their brunch, coffee, and pastries are all delicious. Artisan Cafe is also a great brunch spot, so visiting either of the two would be a fantastic choice.

Finally, our driver dropped us directly at the airport. However, I wanted to get one last massage near the airport and also take a shower, so I chose to be dropped off at a massage shop.

South Bali Tour Review & Booking Tips

📌Here are the advantages of the South Bali tour I took after checking out on my last day in Bali:

1️⃣Flexible itinerary adjustment without the hassle of individually hailing taxis.

2️⃣No worries about luggage; it stays in the car (saves time).

3️⃣You can customize the itinerary to include only the places you want to visit in South Bali. The pre-arranged itinerary is great as is, but I added a beach club!

Here are some 📌booking tips:

1️⃣After booking, use chat to first adjust any parts of the itinerary you wish to change.

2️⃣Request a good quality vehicle. (Many roads in South Bali are still under construction and can be very bumpy!)

3️⃣Recommend tours that include admission fees (everything is smoother and more convenient; no need to pay or queue).

I personally calculated Grab fares by distance, and the 8-hour tour cost was actually cheaper. Plus, individual travel would be much more tiring and involve luggage concerns.
