– Our Personal Stay Review –
Day 8 - 9
Exploring Sanur, Bali
Our Honeymoon Resort in Bali
Andaz Bali: Breakfast & Pools Highly Recommended!
We spent our last full two days in Bali in the serene area of Sanur.

I had heard Sanur was a tranquil, healing destination, often favored by older couples strolling hand-in-hand. But honestly, even just staying within the resort, time flew by so fast! 🌴

The breakfast was absolutely next-level delicious, and both Sanur Beach and the resort’s pools were simply spectacular.
If you're planning a honeymoon in Bali, this is one place I'd wholeheartedly recommend!
[Bali Sanur] Honeymoon Accommodation Resort:
Andaz Bali, Breakfast & Pool Recommendation!

After spending two nights each on Gili T and Gili A, we took a taxi from Bali Padangbai to Sanur. You can find more details about our journey in a separate post.

This was the highly anticipated highlight of our trip, and seriously, what would we have done if we hadn't come here? 🫠
1. Room Condition
We booked a spacious room with two large beds, and the garden view was absolutely stunning with its lush greenery. 🌿🌱🍃

Although it wasn't our official honeymoon, we considered it our 'mid-honeymoon' trip, so we added a special request to our booking.

And to our surprise, they left us a beautiful honeymoon card and a delicious cake! ♥️ The cake was pretty good too!

The room also featured a neat TV and a bathroom with a bathtub.

The space to unpack our luggage was incredibly convenient.

There was a great selection of teas, jams, snacks, and drinks.
The snacks were okay for a quick bite, but nothing extraordinary. 😉

Upon arrival, we were hungry, so we immediately ordered room service. We went for the classic Mie Goreng and Nasi Goreng, but if I recall, the spice level was a bit intense.
The breakfast here was truly exceptional, much better than room service! 👍🏻
It's always wonderful to enjoy a relaxing meal right after you arrive, isn't it?
2. Restaurants
After a good rest, hunger struck again, so off we went for dinner!

We decided to save most of our photos for daylight and headed to the restaurant.
They had live music playing 🎶🎤 (seriously talented!), and the atmosphere was just incredible...

To briefly explain the Andaz Bali restaurants, they are divided into four sections within the Village Square:
WOK WOK: Traditional Indonesian cuisine
BLUE OVEN: Mediterranean dishes
FIRE FOX: Asian-style steakhouse
DELI & BAKERY: Coffee, tea, desserts, and more

The Fisherman's Club specializes in fresh seafood. We had hoped to visit the Korean BBQ section but arrived a bit late that evening. No worries, we made sure to have a grand meal there the following night!
It was absolutely delicious, and I'll share more about that experience further down.

They offered both physical menus and QR codes to browse dishes with photos. We ordered satay and chicken, which were both incredibly tasty.
A staff member even kindly offered to take our picture! 😂

YOUR LUCKY TREE 🌲
The Bali resort is genuinely expansive and beautifully designed. Just taking a stroll around made us feel so good! ~~~

We promised ourselves plenty of swimming the next day, and then it was finally time for the much-anticipated breakfast!
* Note: Originally, this would have been checkout time, but thanks to a late-night flight, we made the most of the resort until evening! ^~^
We managed to secure a complimentary late checkout (always worth asking via WhatsApp!). Even after checkout, we were allowed to use the pools for an extended period, so we swam for hours.
(Of course, this might not be possible during peak season). We were lucky that there weren't many guests, but it's always worth inquiring! ‼️
3. Andaz Bali Breakfast
Finally, a day of proper rest, and it showed on our faces! ^_^

You can order as much as you like, so we went a bit overboard and ordered a spread of dishes!

Dish after dish arrived! That turtle-shaped bread was absolutely adorable! 🐢 Eggs, pancakes, and lattes are, of course, a must.

We ordered an omelet, satay, and they even offered Kimchi Jjigae (Korean Kimchi Stew)!
While it might not be for everyone (it's a sweeter, less spicy version than traditional Korean kimchi jjigae), as a Korean food lover, I absolutely adored it. It was truly delicious—sweet and savory. Don't expect fiery heat if you're looking for a super spicy Korean flavor, though! 😉

Honestly, the Mie Goreng here was even better than the room service version; the thicker noodles were a pleasant surprise. We also enjoyed rice with the Kimchi Jjigae, and the fresh fruit for dessert was fantastic.

Having such a spread laid out for us was truly indulgent, wasn't it? We barely left anything on our plates! ^_^ 👍🏻
Pro Tip: Head to breakfast early to savor it at your leisure! ‼️
4. Strolling & Sanur Beach
After breakfast, we took a leisurely stroll around the resort.

This was truly the most relaxing part of our trip—pure bliss! If you're coming to Bali for your honeymoon, this is the kind of place you need to experience.

Sanur Beach is right in front of the resort 🌊, so you don't even need to venture far to enjoy its beauty.

Even though it was a bit hazy, we still captured some great photos of the ocean. 🧡💙

Back at our room, the view was still so lovely that we took more pictures. Buying matching couple shirts for photos like these would make for amazing memories! 👩❤️👨
5. Swimming Pools
The Andaz Bali resort features three main pools:
Main Pool: A large pool adjacent to Sanur Beach.
Kids' Pool: Located right behind the Main Pool, exclusively for children.
Private Pool: A quiet and secluded option (also known as the Lagoon Pool).

This was the Kids' Pool. Though shallow, it was beautifully designed, perfect for a quick photo op.
I had packed several swimsuits, but decided to change into my blue one for a splash. 😉

Restrooms were conveniently located right nearby, making it easy to change, and towels were available for rent.
To rent a towel, simply provide your room number!

Time for my inner water baby to make a splash! 🦭

The sun was shining brightly, so I wore my sunglasses while swimming. I was truly in my element in the water! 🏊🏻♀️

The private pool was also a joy to swim in, with its long, serene layout.
Whether we were lucky with fewer guests or if it's always accessible, we had the private pool almost entirely to ourselves, which was amazing! We weren't stopped, so we just enjoyed it as if we'd booked it privately. 😂

My powerful kicks, watch out! 😉

It was my first time wearing a light blue swimsuit, and I absolutely loved it! 🩱
There's nothing quite like trying something new! ⚡️

Not passed out, just channeling my inner otter! 🦦
6. Main Pool
And then, there was the Main Pool, which was truly the best! Sanur Beach stretches out right before your eyes.
(There are also simple shower facilities nearby, so you can rinse off easily.)
The pool hours are listed as 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Can you believe we stayed until 6 PM? ^^;

This shot is definitely going to be my main profile picture! 💙

Swimming early the next day was a smart move; we beat the crowds before new guests checked in. It gets much busier after check-in time!

We swam and floated around, just enjoying the water.
Then, we ordered iced lattes and just relaxed by the pool. 🍹

The photos turned out amazing here. We saw all kinds of guests: groups of friends, families, and couples.

🩵🩵🩵

✌🏻 Peace out! ✌🏻

Lying by the pool with the gentle breeze after a swim felt like pure heaven. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back to Bali! ^^

You can borrow inflatable floats, but it's first-come, first-served – grab one if you see it! 👆🏻

When hunger struck, we ordered French fries and calamari rings, and wow wow wow! 😛 They were seriously delicious. A must-try if you get peckish!

Fun fact: We met a friendly staff member named Opic here. It was quite a unique name and sparked some fun small talk!
7. Swings, Sanur Beach
There were two swings near Sanur Beach, and we couldn't resist trying both of them! ~

After our swim, we quickly changed and swung over the ocean, with the sea breeze cooling us down—it was incredibly refreshing!

Walking along the coastline, you can even connect to the Bali Hyatt Regency.

We found another swing along the path and, being swing enthusiasts, had to take another ride! ^_^

We also took a peek at the Hyatt Regency's pool while we were there. It was quite large too!

Our last photo looked straight out of Hawaii! 🏝️ Even taken in the evening, I absolutely loved it. 💫
8. Accommodation Cost & Booking
Regarding our actual booking details and cost, we stayed during what felt like peak season, paying around ~$385 per night. Looking back, it was absolutely worth every penny.

If you're planning a honeymoon, I'd recommend staying for at least a full two days, or even more if your schedule allows – two nights minimum!

As of late March 2026, I checked and found rooms available for around ~$290-300 per night. (Prices for reference).

Ah... I wish I could go back. I'm so envious of my past self! 😭
9. Korean BBQ
For our farewell dinner, we decided to treat ourselves to some delicious Korean BBQ! ^.^

With our flight delayed by 30 minutes ✈️, it was the perfect excuse to feast on Korean BBQ! ✊🏻
The service was truly excellent, and every dish was so delicious we couldn't help but rave about it. Later, we realized a service charge was added to the bill, but considering the incredible food and service, it was understandable. 😉

Looking at the photos, it's clear we indulged a bit, but two happy pigs are definitely better than one! 🐷🐷
Fun fact: When we asked a staff member why it was so quiet, they mentioned the resort was fully booked for a two-day wedding event starting the next day. We were lucky to enjoy the tranquility before the festivities began! 🤗
You really need to hear the sizzle – it was incredible! 🔥

The spread was fantastic, and the quality of the Korean food was unbelievable for an overseas restaurant – perhaps I was just craving it that much! 😂

Top-notch! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 We asked if the Kimchi Jjigae was the same as breakfast, and they assured us it was even better, so we had to try it!

You can see how much I enjoyed it, even with my face getting a little red after a few sips of beer (lightweight, I admit!). ㅠ..
If you visit, the Korean BBQ section is an absolute must-try! ‼️
10. Summary
[Bali Sanur] Honeymoon Accommodation Resort:
Andaz Bali, Breakfast & Pool Recommendation!
1. Sanur is a quiet area, which might not appeal to everyone, but the resort alone was a huge 'yes' for us!! 🌟 (From what I've heard, the city center doesn't offer much, and the roads can be a bit rough).
2. Especially for a honeymoon, I think a peaceful, healing escape here beats the bustling streets of Ubud any day (just my personal recommendation! 😉).
3. The pools are numerous, great for photos, and the food is delicious. The Main Pool is incredibly spacious – no regrets there! Restrooms and outdoor showers are also available.
4. The restaurants offer a variety of cuisines, including Mediterranean, Korean, and Indonesian food. The ambiance is wonderful, and the live music was magical. 🎤 And breakfast? Don't even get me started – it's a must-try! ‼️
5. Even if it's not your actual HONEYMOON, writing 'honeymoon' in your booking request might get you a complimentary cake and a handwritten card! ♥️ Definitely worth trying!
6. Walking along Sanur Beach, you can connect to the Hyatt Regency, and it's fun to explore other resorts along the way. We even found swings to enjoy! To top it off, our flight delay meant we could relax with complimentary drinks at the resort's cafe bar, making our departure even more satisfying.
There's so much more to say, but I think the highlights above truly capture the magic of this place. ,,,

It was hard to say goodbye to our incredible Bali and Gili adventure! 🥲
