1. Why I Chose Anantara Siam
📍 Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel
155 Rajadamri Road, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330 Thailand

Bangkok has an almost overwhelming number of incredible hotels.
With recent inflation and fluctuating exchange rates, finding that perfect "bang for your buck" is a bit harder than it used to be. Still, hotel hopping is half the fun in this vibrant city!
I ultimately went with the Anantara Siam Bangkok, and spoiler alert: I loved it so much I'd book it again in a heartbeat.
When searching for a Bangkok hotel, my non-negotiables were:
1. Under a 2-minute walk to the BTS Skytrain.
2. Close to a park for morning walks.
3. A true 5-star experience with exceptional service.
The Anantara Siam checked all these boxes perfectly. Plus, compared to other 5-star luxury properties in the area, the price point is incredibly competitive.
2. Anantara Siam Bangkok Room Review
I stayed in a Club Room. While the layout might differ slightly from the standard rooms, the footprint is the same: a generous 450 square feet (42 sqm). It feels incredibly spacious.

The room features a massive table that was perfect for enjoying late-night food deliveries. There was also plenty of floor space to splay out multiple suitcases without tripping over them.
Despite being an older, more established property, the Anantara Siam is impeccably maintained. It feels fresh, likely due to recent soft refurbishments.

As a flagship Thai hotel brand, the property leans heavily into traditional Thai aesthetics. I personally adored the rich cultural vibe.
However, if you strictly prefer ultra-modern, minimalist designs, the classic dark wood interiors might not be your cup of tea.

Near the entrance, there's a well-stocked snack bar with a coffee machine, water, and premium snacks (paid, of course). The mini-fridge is tucked away in the cabinet below.

Across from the minibar is a sprawling bathroom featuring a separate soaking tub and a walk-in shower.
It only has a single vanity, which is a slight bummer but hardly a dealbreaker. They also provide complimentary bottled water specifically for brushing your teeth.
3. Hotel Grounds & Breakfast

At the hotel entrance, you're greeted by a beautiful artificial pond filled with water lilies.
The vibrant pops of purple and green are stunning. The entire property is surrounded by lush greenery, giving it that perfect tropical oasis feel right in the middle of the city.

The photo above shows the breakfast dining area—isn't it gorgeous?
By night, this exact courtyard transforms into the stylish AQUA BAR.
The breakfast operation is massive. In fact, Guilty Bangkok (the on-site South American restaurant visible in the background) also opens up for breakfast seating. You can easily grab a table back there if the main area is busy.

The breakfast spread was delicious across the board. They didn't have fresh mangoes on the day I visited.
I'm more of a watermelon and passionfruit fan anyway, so I didn't mind, but I know daily mangoes are a dealbreaker for some travelers!
Just a heads-up: while they do serve mangoes sometimes, they aren't a guaranteed daily staple.
Because I booked a Club Room, I had full access to the Club Lounge. The food there wasn't mind-blowing, but the staff was incredibly attentive, constantly checking in to make sure I had everything I needed.
To be fair, Thai hospitality is world-class everywhere you go, so great service is almost expected here!

Given the size of the hotel, the main lobby is wonderfully expansive.
Despite its size, I never had to wait long for check-in or check-out. There's also a fantastic, spacious indoor waiting area for taxis.
When it's 95°F outside, waiting for your ride in the AC is a lifesaver.
From calling my cab to helping with my luggage, the staff was phenomenal right up until the moment I left. You really can't beat true 5-star service.
Here is a quick recap of the pros and cons of the Anantara Siam Bangkok:
✔️ Pros
Just a 2-minute walk to the BTS Skytrain
Walking distance to Lumphini Park for morning strolls
Impeccable, high-end hospitality
Authentic, luxurious Thai atmosphere
Excellent value compared to neighboring 5-star hotels
Very spacious standard rooms
✔️ Cons
The classic wood interiors might not appeal to modern design lovers
Prices fluctuate depending on the season, but as of early 2026, you can expect to pay around ~$230 per night for a weekday stay.
As you can see in the table below, Agoda often has the most competitive rates, but prices jump around frequently, so it pays to compare.
Agoda | ~$235 | |
Trip.com | ~$281 |
