Bangkok accommodations can be surprisingly pricey, but for around $120,
getting access to a luxury pool, gym, and breakfast is a steal.
The biggest perk? You can still use the facilities after checking out!
That was the main reason I booked the Anantara Riverside.
If you've got a late-night flight out of Southeast Asia,
being able to explore the city all day and then
swim, shower, and relax at the resort before heading to the airport
was an absolute game-changer for me.
Anantara Riverside Bangkok Lobby & Check-in

We headed straight here to drop off our bags after checking out of our previous hotel.
The lobby is incredibly spacious and immaculate.

Official check-in is at 3:00 PM, but we arrived around 11:00 AM.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful right from the start.

They even offered us an early check-in at noon!
We had an itinerary to stick to, so we just left our bags,
but while they processed our reservation, we were treated to
refreshing tea, cold scented towels, and local candies.

The cold towels smelled amazing, and the candy had a sweet,
milky flavor that was delicious,
though a bit chewy like nougat!
Inside the Twin Room
After wrapping up our second day exploring Bangkok,
we finally headed up to our room in the evening.

We took the elevator up and found our room on the 6th floor.

Right by the entrance on the left,
there's a spacious closet with a safe and hangers,
plus a convenient rack to open up a carry-on suitcase.
The bathroom is located directly opposite the closet.

We booked a Twin Room, featuring crisp, white bedding.
Despite the humid Southeast Asian weather, they had pre-cooled the room,
so the sheets felt incredibly fresh
and comfortable to slip into!

We were even greeted by a cute little towel elephant on the bed.

Across from the beds, you'll find the TV, a mini-fridge,
along with a cozy sofa and a work desk.
There's also a private balcony, which is perfect for drying
swimsuits after hitting the pool! Since we visited in June,
the intense Bangkok sun dried our gear in no time.

Even though this was a standard room, the bathroom was surprisingly large
and included a full-sized bathtub.
The lighting was excellent, and the wide vanity
made getting ready and doing makeup super easy.

Disposable amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs were provided.

The shower is stocked with large pump bottles of
shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
However, perhaps due to the local water,
my hair felt a bit dry after washing,
so I highly recommend bringing your own hair care products.

Here's a look from our resort balcony.
We lucked out with a corner room, which meant a slightly larger balcony
and a lovely partial view of the
Chao Phraya River.
The contrast of the tropical flowers against the river was so pretty,
I had to snap a few photos.

Now, for the main reason I booked the Anantara Riverside:
The swimming pool!
It has that ultimate tropical oasis vibe,
and as a strong swimmer, I was thrilled to find sections
up to 10 feet deep!
Don't worry if you're not an expert swimmer; there are plenty of shallow areas too,
making it perfect for everyone to enjoy.

If you love spending time in the water, you will absolutely adore this resort.
I'll be sharing a more detailed review of the breakfast
and other facilities in my next post!
Free River Shuttle Boat

The resort offers a complimentary shuttle boat directly to
Sathorn Pier.
One slight drawback of the Anantara is that it's
a bit far from downtown Bangkok.
But honestly, hopping on this shuttle boat
made getting around both easy and scenic.

Riding the boat in the hot summer weather provided a much-needed cool breeze.
Plus, taking it back to the resort at night
gives you gorgeous views of Asiatique!

The evening boat ride is truly the best 💛
It felt like a free night sightseeing cruise.
The shuttle runs every 30 minutes, and every 20 minutes
during peak afternoon hours.
I've attached the official timetable
from the resort below.

From the stunning night views to the lush grounds,
Anantara Riverside Bangkok exceeded my expectations!
With its reasonable price, epic pool, tasty breakfast, and flawless service,
it was easily my favorite accommodation of the trip.
The breakfast in particular was phenomenal—
