Zhangjiajie, famously known as the filming location for Avatar,

are you planning to visit it someday?

More than what you see in videos or photos,

the emotion you feel when you witness it firsthand

is much grander in this natural wonder.

Therefore, I personally recommend it as a place everyone should visit

at least once in their lifetime.

Today, I'll recommend a 4-night, 5-day package tour

that makes your Zhangjiajie trip easy and comfortable!

When planning a trip to Zhangjiajie, you might find yourself deliberating

between a free-and-easy trip or a package tour.

With China's visa-free policy becoming more active these days,

many people are opting for independent travel,

so you might wonder, 'Can I do Zhangjiajie on my own?'

But Zhangjiajie is completely different from other Chinese cities.

Zhangjiajie has several must-see tourist spots that are spread out,

requiring frequent travel between them. However,

public transportation in Zhangjiajie isn't well-developed,

making it practically difficult to travel independently.

(Even for someone who speaks Chinese, the difficulty level is high,

so I definitely recommend a package tour.)

What's more, using a package tour saves you a huge amount of time on trip planning,

as it takes care of hard-to-research Chinese accommodations,

restaurants, and main attractions by scheduling everything for you.

Zhangjiajie 4-Night, 5-Day Package Itinerary

Day 1

On the first day, you'll head to Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie's landmark,

and be greeted by overwhelming scenery.

You'll take a cable car that takes over 30 minutes one-way, ascending to see

incredible natural beauty. By the way, the Tianmen Mountain cable car

is said to be the longest in the world!

The itinerary includes conquering Tianmen Mountain by passing through

thrilling glass walkways, Guigu Plank Road, and reaching Tianmen Cave Square.

Day 2

Day 2 covers Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie.

This is truly where the movie Avatar

feels like it exists in the real world.

Get ready for a visual feast at Tianzi Mountain! It boasts an incredible number of peaks, both grand and petite, creating a landscape that feels truly unique and unlike anything you've seen before.

Beyond Tianzi Mountain, we explored the awe-inspiring 'First Bridge Under Heaven' and experienced the incredible Bailong Elevator. The panoramic views on the descent were simply breathtaking!

Day 3

Day 3 brought us to the picturesque Ten-Mile Gallery and the magnificent Grand Canyon.

At Ten-Mile Gallery, a scenic 15-minute monorail ride took us deeper into the stunning landscape where we marvelled at the Three Sisters Peaks and the serene Golden Whip Stream. Be prepared for some wildlife encounters at Golden Whip Stream – we spotted wild monkeys, which was both incredibly captivating and a little bit thrillingly spooky at the same time!

The Grand Canyon offered an unforgettable adventure, where we bravely crossed exhilarating glass bridges and skywalks, culminating in a relaxing cruise. What an impressive day!

Day 4

Day 4 was dedicated to exploring the majestic Huanglong Cave and the tranquil Baofeng Lake!

When we arrived at Huanglong Cave, heavy rain initially prevented us from taking a boat, which was a bit of a bummer. But miraculously, the skies cleared up midway through our visit, and we were able to hop on a boat and explore the stunning cave by water after all!

Discovering that Huanglong Cave is privately owned and witnessing how they've harnessed groundwater to sculpt such an immense natural wonder truly left me in awe of the sheer scale of ambition and resources found on the mainland.

Following that, a serene cruise awaited us on Baofeng Lake, where we drifted along, soaking in the postcard-perfect scenery. We even had the delightful experience of hearing traditional love serenades from local Tujia women and men on the lake – truly a romantic highlight of the trip!

Day 5

On our final day, we took it easy with a visit to the Sandstone Painting Art Gallery, where we admired unique works by local Zhangjiajie artist Li Junsheng and others.

These distinctive artworks, crafted from stone powder, were truly fascinating to behold – a perfect artistic end to our incredible journey!

With a light heart, we wrapped up our morning itinerary

and safely returned to Korea!
