On a recent Friday, I was passing through the Yangdong Market area and thought, what better way to kick off the weekend than with some classic fried chicken for dinner with the kids? So, I made a quick stop at Yangdong Fried Chicken.

It began as a simple튀김집 (fried food stall) before evolving into what it is today, buying fresh chickens directly from Yangdong Market and coating them in their signature batter. It's a legacy that has continued for over 50 years!

You'll often see four or so chefs tirelessly frying chicken at the front. This place is so popular that you almost always have to wait in line, a testament to its enduring appeal.

Right across from Yangdong Fried Chicken is Suil Fried Chicken, another incredibly famous establishment. Deciding which one is "better" often comes down to personal preference, as both are equally beloved and draw long queues, especially on weekends.
