📍 Verviers Damyang
1300 Jukhyang-daero, Damyang-eup, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do

Located right near the famous Damyang Metasequoia Road,
it's super easy to get to. Known for its massive scale
and mouthwatering flavors, it's already a local legend.
Here is my honest review and some insider tips for your visit!

1. Parking at Verviers Damyang
There is a huge, dedicated parking lot
right in front of the bakery.
However, during peak weekend hours, it can get so busy
that you might have to circle around for a spot.
(Parking is free!)
2. Cozy Red-Brick Vibes
Atmosphere & Interior

The very first thing that catches your eye when you arrive
is the grand and beautiful red-brick facade.

There are plenty of great photo spots
right out front to snap some memories!

A Look Inside

The interior is spread across two floors,
with incredibly high ceilings that give it a wonderful, airy feel.
1st Floor

Here's a glimpse of the weekend crowd
lining up to grab their baked treats on the 1st floor.

While it's not quite as crazy as Daejeon's famous Sungsimdang,
you should still expect a bit of a wait!

They also have a self-packaging station
so you can easily wrap up any leftovers to go.

Traveling with family? They have high chairs
available for the little ones as well.

After picking out my treats, I headed up to the second floor
to escape the bustling crowd downstairs.
2nd Floor

On weekdays, the 2nd floor probably offers a cozy, quiet retreat
to enjoy your bread and tea.
But since it was the weekend,
it was quite lively up here too!

3. Recommended Menu & Must-Try Breads

Can't-go-wrong bestsellers
for your very first visit to Verviers!

I noticed that you have to order drinks separately
at the self-service kiosk.
Shall we take a look at the bakery displays?

Even though their hype has died down a bit, I spotted some thick, chewy cookies!

With so many mouthwatering options, deciding can be tough!
For those facing decision paralysis, here are the top 2
absolute must-tries at Berviere.
Mawang Pie (~$1 / Box purchase available)

As Berviere's ultimate signature treat, it features a thin, crispy pastry crust
stuffed with a moderately sweet red bean paste and crunchy walnuts.
It’s also incredibly popular as a gift or a souvenir.
Damyang Tteokgalbi Bread (~$4)

This is a unique, specialty item featuring Tteokgalbi
(grilled short rib patties), a local delicacy of Damyang.
The savory, seasoned sauce and thick patty harmonize perfectly
with the soft bread, making it a massive hit for kids.
4. Highlights of Berviere Damyang
One major advantage is the super fast turnover rate, meaning
you can easily enjoy freshly baked bread throughout the day.

While the prices are slightly higher than standard franchise bakeries,
it feels like a great deal when you consider the generous portions
and high-quality ingredients.

Another great thing is the wide appeal that pleases visitors of all ages.
From classic red bean bread and rice cake bread that older folks love,
to trendy options catering to the tastes of Gen Z...
From crowd-pleasing salt bread to savory jambon beurre,
everything is perfectly stocked!

Mellow Trip's Final Verdict
If you want a foolproof bakery pilgrimage
in Damyang, Berviere is the ultimate answer.
The most popular breads can sell out quickly
late on weekend afternoons, so I highly recommend
visiting between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM!

The "Mawang Pie" (Devil's Pie) is a bit cheaper when bought by the box,
and it's much easier to store and take home!
