Seriously, this was my very first time trying to get Tomorrowland tickets.

I'd always heard people say it was hard, but I had absolutely no idea it would be *this* intense.

I thought it would be like EDC or other music festivals where if you're just quick enough, you bag an early bird ticket,

and if you're slow, you just have to pay a bit more.

But oh boy, it was literally like trying to register for high-demand college classes, wasn't it?

Actually, scratch that—it was way more brutal than that... But we did it!

On the plane to Singapore... right before takeoff...

Well, technically not me, but my friend "T"... haha! Hey, a win is a win, right?

So here is my review.

(To be fair, my screen also popped up saying I could purchase in 15 minutes!)

The Process

1. Once the dates and location for Tomorrowland are confirmed,

book your flights and hotel/accommodation *before* you even buy the tickets.

When I went to EDC Thailand in Phuket,

I waited way too long to book everything,

and was left with only the most terrible hotel options... What a memory...

So this time, I booked relatively quickly!

For this price, getting a Pattaya hotel of this caliber is a total steal, don't you think?

But since it was non-refundable, I was sweating bullets.

Even if we failed to get tickets, we still had to go...

Imagine being there, just watching and dying of envy as everyone else heads into the festival...

Phuket was absolutely amazing last time,

and I was so sad we had to leave so soon. That's why for Pattaya,

I booked my return flight as laaaaaate

as humanly possible!

2. Pre-registering for the Tomorrowland Festival ticket sale

You can only buy tickets if you pre-register on the official Tomorrowland website,

so I made sure to get that done.

Even though I was super late, the pre-registration still went through smoothly,

so I thought, "Oh, maybe booking tickets will be a breeze!"

But honestly, pre-registration stays open right up until the ticket sale starts,

so literally anyone and everyone could do it.

But if you do it quickly,

for each country (????)

the top 20% (or maybe the first 20 people?)

from each country who pre-registered the fastest

get first dibs on entering the ticket sale.

Naturally, I didn't make the cut. T_T

If you're in the top bracket,

they send you an email saying, "Hey, you made it!"

I can't even comprehend how fast and diligent everyone else must be.

3. Prepare your payment method. Double-check that it's registered correctly / write down your address in English / look up your zip code in advance.

Check if your card supports international transactions (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), make sure you haven't blocked overseas payments in your banking app, and ensure you have a sufficient credit limit/balance.

4. You can simulate the Tomorrowland Hotel Package booking beforehand.

Try out different options.

You'll quickly realize it's way pricier than you think... it seemed to start at around ~$1,280 at least.

But then again, getting exactly what you simulated during the actual ticket madness is almost impossible anyway. Ha!...

5. Tomorrowland Hotel Package Sale Launch

Basically, the pricier packages go on sale first.

✔️ Global Journey: Bundled packages with other travel tours.

Insanely expensive.

✔️ Hotel Package: Bundled official hotel accommodation + admission tickets.

Since this opens earlier and has slightly less competition

than the "just ticket" general sale,

people say it's better to try for this first.

But since I already had a hotel booked and these packages were way too expensive,

I skipped the Hotel Package sale altogether.

Out of curiosity, I checked back on the evening of the launch, and yep—they were already completely sold out.

6. The grand finale: The general sale for Tomorrowland (just) tickets

only!

From what I read in other reviews,

some people were logging in and waiting 2 hours in advance.

They said you couldn't even load the actual purchase page

and just stared at the loading screen forever...

I was so terrified

that I planned to log on 2 hours early,

but things got so hectic on my way to the airport...

I ended up logging onto the website about 1 to 1.5 hours beforehand.

And then, there was

this timer showing on the screen!

On the Tomorrowland website,

the countdown timer was slowly ticking away.

It explicitly says NEVER to refresh the page.

And then...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The grand moment of...

6:00 PM

My heart was pounding so fast, I thought it would explode,

but I couldn't even get in! ;;😱

It just told me to wait in the virtual queue.

Do NOT refresh here either!

Seriously, you just have to wait.

Meanwhile, even though I couldn't even reach

the Tomorrowland checkout page yet,

tickets were showing as

SOLD OUT in real-time.

First, Tomorrowland Festival VIP

tickets sold out.

Then, Sat-Sun 2-Day passes sold out.

Now, only Tomorrowland 1-Day tickets

were left.

One person can buy up to 8 tickets,

and they accept Visa, Mastercard, Alipay, WeChat Pay, etc.

for payment.

Still telling me to wait

to get into the Tomorrowland payment page...

But then, my flight was literally about to take off,

and the screen said I had 15 minutes left

until I could enter.

😭😭 Oh my god, what do I do?!

But then, my friend successfully grabbed the tickets! 💚

What to Check & Keep in Mind Before Tomorrowland Ticketing

1. Once the dates and location for Tomorrowland are locked in,

go ahead and book your flights, hotels, and accommodations before buying tickets.

Make sure your accommodation is fully refundable/cancellable!!!

Because...

> 1) There's a chance you might fail ticketing and not be able to go ^~^^

> 2) They sell the expensive hotel + ticket packages (Global Journey) first,

and if you buy those, you won't need separate accommodation anyway.

Especially for the festival in Thailand, it's not like Belgium where you sleep in tents (DreamVille),

but instead...

if you try to book a hotel closer to the festival dates,

only insanely expensive hotels like ~$1,280 a night

will be left, and everything else will be fully booked.

2. Make sure to pre-register for the Tomorrowland ticket sale.

It's best to click as fast as possible to register early.

On one device,

have multiple checkout tabs open in advance.

6. Don't log in right at the exact ticketing time;

go to the Tomorrowland website beforehand

and wait while keeping an eye on the countdown timer.

7. NEVER refresh the page!

Otherwise, you'll have to wait in line all over again...

they didn't ask for all that detail...?

But still, make sure to collect your friends' info in advance just in case!
