Phuket Phi Phi Island Speedboat Tour 2026: Snorkeling & Maya Bay
Embark on an unforgettable 2026 Phi Phi Island speedboat tour from Phuket! Discover Maya Bay, snorkel crystal-clear waters, and get all the gear tips you need.

Hey there, fellow adventurers!
This is **TravelVOCCA**, always dreaming of the next escape.
As I planned my recent trip to Phuket, one of the excursions I was most excited about
was the Phi Phi Islands + Koh Khai Island speedboat day tour.
I’m excited to share my firsthand experience, broken down by each incredible stop,
along with all the essential gear you’ll need for snorkeling!

Morning Hotel Pickup & Transfer to Pier
After a hearty breakfast, we were picked up from our hotel and headed to the Asia Marina Pier.
From Phuket’s Patong Beach to the Phi Phi Island tour pier, it’s about an hour’s drive.
Having transportation arranged meant no worries about getting there, which was incredibly convenient.
Arrival at Asia Marina Pier &
Speedboat Boarding

Upon arrival at Asia Marina Pier!
At the reception desk, we filled out our passport information (name, number, expiry date).
(Pro tip: A photo of your passport on your phone is usually sufficient, so keep that in mind!)
Then, we received our colored wristbands.

Groups with the same color wristband board the same boat, and we got yellow!
I assume the colors are used to organize groups based on tour options or nationalities.

The waiting area at Asia Marina Pier had some simple refreshments, snacks, and drinks.
But the most important thing? They offered **free motion sickness medication!**
The waves can get quite choppy, so taking one beforehand will make your journey much more comfortable.
I’m prone to seasickness, so I made sure to take one before we even set off :)

Yellow team, assemble!
Before departure, our guide gave us a safety briefing and explained the day’s itinerary, and then it was time to board the boat.

Once on the speedboat, each person had a life vest ready.
With every seat filled, we finally set off!
Pileh Lagoon (Longtail Boat & Snorkeling)
Our first stop on the Phi Phi Islands tour was Pileh Lagoon.

To venture further into the lagoon, you need to take a longtail boat for a small additional fee.
Since we’d come all this way, we decided to pay the extra and switch to a longtail boat.

Wow!
The emerald green water and the surrounding cliff views were absolutely picturesque!

With such a stunning backdrop, every photo turned out beautifully, no matter how casually I snapped it!
After plenty of photos, we moved on to the snorkeling spot.
**Phi Phi Islands Tour Snorkeling Essentials**
1. Snorkeling Mask
While the Phi Phi Islands tour typically provides basic snorkeling masks,
I was a bit concerned about hygiene, so we brought our own **full-face snorkeling masks**.

I’m not a strong swimmer, so I was a little nervous about ocean swimming,
but this mask covers your entire face, so no saltwater gets in, and you can breathe normally through your nose.
It was genuinely so comfortable!
I felt like I was flying underwater while snorkeling!
I even remember other tourists looking curiously at our gear, intrigued by it, haha!
This is a **highly recommended item**!

2. Aqua Shoes
The Phi Phi Islands have rocky areas and broken shells, so swimming barefoot can lead to cuts or injuries.
Be sure to bring aqua shoes!
3. Waterproof Phone Case
This is an absolute must-have if you want to take photos and videos with your phone!

The product I used was like this one!
This particular phone waterproof case… was quite disappointing.
It was waterproof, thankfully, so no water leaked in,
but the buttons barely registered, and sometimes calls would spontaneously start… sigh…
Ultimately, I couldn't properly capture anything with my phone.
100% regret.

My partner’s waterproof phone case was this one, and it was absolutely perfect!
Even with the case on, the **touch screen worked flawlessly**, just like using the phone normally,
and the **photos came out incredibly clear**!
Highly satisfied ♥

**Maya Bay**
Our second stop on the Phi Phi Islands tour was Maya Bay.

Maya Bay is part of the **Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park**, so visitors are required to pay a national park entrance fee.
The fee is **~$11 per adult**.
However,
the Phi Phi Islands tour we chose **included the national park entrance fee**, so you don't need to worry about it :)

The white sandy beach and the emerald-colored sea were just breathtaking!
Maya Bay has strict regulations for natural preservation.
Swimming and snorkeling are prohibited, and visitors are only allowed into designated areas.
We simply dipped our feet in and slowly strolled along, soaking in the scenery.

Our tour guide was thoughtful enough to snap some great couple shots for us, which we loved! ^-^
**Monkey Beach**
The third stop on our Phi Phi Islands tour was Monkey Beach.

As the name suggests, Monkey Beach is a small island inhabited by monkeys!
We didn't get off to explore the island,
but we enjoyed watching the monkeys freely playing from the boat.
**Lunch Buffet at Phi Phi Don Long Beach**
After an early start and a packed morning, I was starving, and it was finally lunchtime!
Lunch was a buffet served at a large restaurant on Phi Phi Don Island.
With so many tourists, the restaurant was bustling and a bit chaotic,
but the food was surprisingly good, despite the simple presentation.
I especially loved the watermelon – it was so sweet and refreshing that I went back for seconds! (It was so busy I forgot to take a picture!)

We finished our meal with some refreshing coconut ice cream!
The coconut ice cream was absolutely delicious~~~^0^
**Koh Khai Snorkeling & Relaxation**
Finally, the last stop on our Phi Phi Islands tour: Koh Khai Island.

It’s quite small, isn’t it?

This is known as a snorkeling hot spot, and we were given time to swim.
However, even after taking motion sickness medication, I still felt a bit lightheaded, so I decided to rent a parasol and relax.
(Parasol rental costs extra!)
My partner, however, still had energy and headed off to snorkel… haha!
Go on, have fun! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Lying in the cool shade, gazing at the ocean – this truly felt like paradise.
The sound of the waves lulled me into a peaceful state… pure relaxation!
**Phi Phi Islands + Koh Khai Speedboat Day Tour: An Honest Review**
No worries about unexpected extra costs (most are included in the tour package).
(However, families with young children might find the pace a bit challenging.)

Goodbye, Phi Phi Islands!
Though I was a bit tired, it was an incredibly fun day! ^-^
Now, it’s time to head back to the hotel and get some well-deserved rest!
