If you're planning a family trip to Phuket and hunting for a resort that offers incredible value,
I highly recommend Graceland.
Nestled right in front of the famous Patong Beach,
and conveniently located within walking distance to Jungceylon shopping mall and the vibrant Bangla Road,
this Phuket resort left us incredibly satisfied on so many levels! :)
Location
You'll find it right along the Patong Beach strip,
and it took us about an hour to get there from the airport by car.
From Jungceylon and Bangla Road,
it's a pleasant 15-20 minute walk.
While it's a little removed from the absolute heart of the action,
it actually sits in a wonderfully peaceful spot.
For a family trip, we found this much better than being right on the noisy Bangla Road.
Even though it's an older resort,
it's incredibly well-maintained, making it a fantastic value-for-money option and a truly enjoyable stay.
Our Family Room: Pool View, Room 2431
Since I was traveling with my family,
I opted for a Family Room.
These Family Rooms are quite special:
they come equipped with two queen beds,
meaning up to five people can comfortably stay!
Not only are the rooms incredibly spacious,
but there's also a separate living area,
offering so much extra room to spread out and relax.

The closet area, spacious enough to feel like a dedicated dressing room,
was perfect for stashing our luggage, and it came with plenty of hangers too! :)
All the essentials were provided, like robes, slippers, umbrellas, and even extra pillows.
Two queen beds, each spacious enough for two,
were placed side-by-side, and the bedding was perfectly comfy. Haha!
The interior living space boasts
a large, inviting sofa with a TV mounted opposite.
Because the room is so generously sized overall,
it felt wonderfully open and never cramped! :)
On one side, there was a refrigerator and a microwave,
which was super handy for warming up food like ramen or
instant rice after a swim. There are also cups and an electric kettle.
Make sure to buy water separately before you arrive at the accommodation!
The bottled water provided in the room is not complimentary...
The bathroom was also spacious and pristine!
The room was always kept clean thanks to
excellent daily room cleaning.
The bathtub and shower are separate,
and all the basic amenities are
well-stocked!
If there's one minor drawback,
it's that the partition between the room and the bathtub is a
sliding window. If someone stands by the tub,
their silhouette can be seen, but if you're traveling with family,
it wasn't really an issue for us, haha!
Also, Graceland is divided into an old wing and a new wing,
so if you're lucky, you'll be assigned to the new wing, otherwise it's the old wing.
In my case, I was assigned to the old wing,
and therefore got a room with that window-style bathroom partition, hehe.
Each room has a terrace space,
and while it was too hot to spend much time out there,
it was perfect for drying swimsuits.
The Pools
Phuket Graceland Resort truly felt like a paradise for water lovers,
boasting a total of three swimming pools!
With depths ranging from about 0.6m to 1.6m,
they're perfect for everyone from kids to adults.
Given the resort's large scale, I was a bit worried it might get crowded,
but it was never overly busy, no matter when we went,
which made swimming even more enjoyable! :)
The pool next to the main one
even features 'pool access' rooms where you can step right into the water from your accommodation,
so if you're a big fan of swimming, I highly recommend those!
This is the pool located above the restaurant.
Here too, it gets progressively deeper as you walk in,
so if you're not a strong swimmer, it might be a good idea to bring a float or a tube.
Patong Beach
Just across the road from the resort,
you'll find Patong Beach, perfect for a refreshing swim! :)
When I visited,
it was the rainy season, so the waves were quite strong,
but considering it was the wet season, the water was surprisingly clean,
making it still lovely for a dip.
Breakfast
Our delicious breakfast every morning :)
Breakfast is served buffet-style,
featuring a wide array of Thai, Western, and other Asian dishes.
You'll even find kimchi at the salad bar!
Egg dishes, pho, fresh fruits, and more
were available for breakfast, along with delicious Thai cuisine.
Most dishes weren't heavily spiced,
which meant they pleased most palates.
Starting each day with a hearty breakfast,
we were fully energized for our adventures! :)
Facilities
Among the facilities, you'll find
a gym, a billiards room, a bowling alley,
and even a Starbucks.
The gym is free for guests to use,
while the billiards room and bowling alley are available
for a fee.
Phuket Resort Recommendation Review
Phuket Graceland Resort was a wonderful place to stay during our Phuket family trip!
With its many pools and relaxing resort atmosphere,
it was perfect for unwinding and healing.
Although it's a bit further from Jungceylon and Bangla Road,
for a family trip, its quiet location was actually a plus,
making it an ideal spot for a peaceful getaway.
As of August,
a Deluxe Room starts from around ~$69,
and a Family Room is around ~$173.
Being able to book at these prices makes it one of the resorts
I highly recommend for its excellent value.
After comparing booking options,
booking through Agoda
was the most affordable.
As one of the most popular resorts
near Patong Beach,
if you're planning a trip to Phuket,
I highly recommend booking Phuket Graceland Resort
