New York Marriott Marquis Review 2026: Times Square Location & Rooms

When I was choosing a hotel in New York,

the most important thing I looked for was, without a doubt, the location.

After walking around all day,

and then catching a Broadway show,

making the journey back to the accommodation can be surprisingly tiring.

The New York Marriott Marquis

is right in Times Square the moment you step out the hotel doors,

and this location was incredibly convenient during my New York trip! 😊

1. Right in Front of Times Square

The address is 1535 Broadway.

Times Square and Broadway are right at your doorstep,

and Rockefeller Center and Bryant Park are also nearby.

When I have evening plans, especially,

my energy tends to plummet if my accommodation is far away,

but here, even after staying out late,

it was great to be able to get back to the hotel quickly.

Outside, it's so vibrant and full of people,

so I was worried it might be noisy in the room.

But once I got inside,

it was quieter than I expected, and I rested really well! 😊

Check-in is at 4 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM.

2. Deluxe Room with Two Double Beds Review

The room I stayed in

was a Deluxe Room with two double beds.

There's a common saying that New York hotel rooms are small,

so I was most concerned about the room size.

However, even with two 28-inch suitcases laid out on the floor,

it wasn't inconvenient to move around,

so it was better than I expected! 😄

With two double beds, it was comfortable for two people to each have their own.

Slippers weren't immediately visible in the room,

so I thought they weren't provided,

but you can get them if you ask! 😊

And something else I deliberated over until the very end

was the Times Square view.

With a difference of about ~$153 per day,

it definitely made me think twice! 😄

Since Times Square is right outside the hotel door,

if you plan to spend most of your time outside, a standard room is perfectly fine.

But if you dream of lying in bed and gazing at the iconic New York billboards,

then opting for a Times Square view might be just what you're looking for!

3. Room Price Comparison

For New York hotels, even for the same room type,

the prices can vary quite a bit across different booking sites.

5. Breakfast and Lounges

Breakfast is available from 6:30 AM

until 11:30 AM.

It's about $51.17 per adult (roughly ~$51),

so if two people eat, it quickly goes over $100.

Since the price isn't exactly cheap,

it's a good idea to compare rooms that include breakfast with nearby bagel shops

before making your reservation.

Inside the hotel, you'll find the Broadway Lounge,

along with other restaurants and bars, which is super convenient when you've been sightseeing all day

and don't feel like going out again.

Access conditions for the M Club Lounge can vary depending on your booked room type or membership benefits,

so make sure to check if lounge access is included

when you make your reservation.

If you're looking for a rooftop experience, you'll often come across

The View, which is also located inside the hotel.

It's a revolving rooftop restaurant where you can dine while enjoying the New York skyline,

so it seems like a great spot to visit when you want to create a special atmosphere at the hotel! Haha!

6. Deposit and Destination Fee

If you only consider the room price when booking this hotel,

you might be a little surprised at check-in.

A deposit is held on your card,

and it can sometimes be around $200.

The remaining deposit is released after settling any charges you incurred during your stay

at checkout.

It can also take some time for the refund to be reflected

on your card, depending on your bank.

Additionally, there's a destination fee of about $51.64 per night (roughly ~$51).

However, you can use a $40 food and beverage credit daily,

so I definitely recommend making sure you use it every day! Haha!

You can even grab food from the 8th floor and enjoy it in your room.

The important thing is that any unused credit

cannot be carried over to the next day!

If you don't use it, it disappears, so make sure to take advantage of it daily.

7. Wi-Fi, Water, Room Service, Coin Laundry

Wi-Fi information varies a bit

depending on where you book.

Some places list it as free Wi-Fi,

but then you might find a separate charge for in-room internet!

That's why I recommend getting an eSIM

with a generous data plan~!

And when you're searching for hotels in New York,

you'd be surprised how many people look for information about water, haha!

Complimentary bottled water isn't always

standard in the rooms, so it's handy to know

about using the water dispensers within the hotel.

Room service is available, but

delivery fees might be added.

So, if you're planning to use that $40 credit,

picking up your order directly from the 8th floor is a pretty good option too!

And if you're on a long trip, you're probably curious about coin laundry, right?

There isn't a self-service coin laundry within the hotel;

you'll need to use their dry cleaning service.

If you're staying in New York for several days,

it would definitely be convenient to research nearby laundromats in advance.

8. Overall Review

What I loved most about the New York Marriott Marquis,

in the end, was its location.

It's right in front of Times Square, making it

super easy to wander around late at night and just pop back in,

And even for a New York hotel, there was enough space to

lay out two suitcases, so the room didn't feel cramped at all, haha!

However, there are quite a few things that are easy to overlook

when you first look at the room price, such as breakfast, the deposit, destination fees, and Wi-Fi.

If it were me, I'd compare prices starting with the basic deluxe room,

apply coupons from Yeogiyo (a popular Korean booking site) and Trip.com,

and then decide whether to add a Times Square view or

lounge benefits with the remaining budget, haha!
