Hey there, fellow travelers! It's your guide, Bamkki, here.
Believe it or not, I still have a few gems left to share from my Gyeongju trip this past April 2026!
When I mentioned I was heading to Gyeongju, a friend highly recommended a Pad Thai spot. "Thai food in Gyeongju? Really?" I thought, a bit surprised. But as fate would have it, it became my very first meal of the trip!
So, here's my honest, self-funded review of Naipaddthai, located near Hwanglidan-gil.

1. Naipaddthai Gyeongju: Location & Parking
📍 Naipaddthai
734-1 Taejong-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea
Naipaddthai boasts an excellent location, nestled right near Hwanglidan-gil and Daereungwon, two must-visit spots in Gyeongju. This makes it incredibly easy to access for any traveler exploring the area!
However, a heads-up: there's no dedicated parking lot. You'll need to use nearby public parking facilities like the Daereungwon Parking Lot or Seorabeol Cultural Center Parking Lot.

You'll spot Naipaddthai right by the roadside. Get ready to enjoy my very first meal in Gyeongju!
2. Naipaddthai: Menu & Ambiance

The interior of Naipaddthai is quite unique. Instead of one large open space, it feels more like an old house with rooms connected, each holding two to three tables. This gives it a cozy, intimate vibe.

Run by a Thai owner, the decor is simple yet charming, adding to the authentic feel.

For our meal at Naipaddthai, a popular Gyeongju spot, the core menu features Pad Thai, Pad Pong Curry, and various fried rice dishes.
My group ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and Chicken Pad Pong Curry. I was really craving Som Tum (papaya salad), but we decided to start light! (Maybe next time!)

Ordering is super convenient—you just use the tablet available at each table.
3. My Honest Review of Naipaddthai, a Gyeongju Eatery
To be frank, while it's a good spot, I wouldn't say it's the kind of "wow, this Pad Thai is mind-blowing!" restaurant you travel specifically for. Think of it more like a delicious, reliable local Thai restaurant you'd find in your own neighborhood.

However, the Pad Thai noodles were truly the real deal! Perfectly cooked, and the seasoning tasted almost exactly like what you'd find in Thailand. ❤️

Those slightly translucent noodles are absolutely exquisite. Just thinking about them makes me want Pad Thai again!

Now, for the Chicken Pad Pong Curry: don't expect the rich, saucy curries you might find in Korea or Japan. This one was a bit drier than I anticipated, and it tasted a little bland to my palate.
And that wraps up my honest, self-funded review of Naipaddthai, a unique spot to try Thai food during your Gyeongju adventure!
Nai Pad Thai does not have a private parking lot. Therefore, you will need to use nearby public parking lots, such as the Daereungwon Parking Lot or the Seorabeol Cultural Center Parking Lot.
The prices for basic meals such as Pad Thai, Pad Pong Curry, and fried rice range between ~$8 and ~$10. You can easily place your order using the tablet provided at each table.
The Shrimp Pad Thai features perfectly cooked noodles and a seasoning that tastes almost exactly like what you would find in Thailand. On the other hand, the Chicken Pad Pong Curry has less sauce, making it feel a bit dry and potentially tasting a little bland.
