Montigo Resorts Nongsa Batam Review: Ultimate Pool Villa Luxury
Just an hour's ferry ride from Singapore, Batam Island offers incredible value for a luxury resort escape. Discover the ultimate relaxation at Montigo Resorts Nongsa!
Planning a trip to Batam, Indonesia?
If you're eager to truly soak in the island's laid-back vibe,
choosing the right accommodation is absolutely key.
I recently experienced the perfect blend of 'incredible value + luxury' at
Montigo Resorts, Nongsa, and I'm thrilled to share my honest staycation review!
Batam Accommodation Tip: Nagoya Hill vs. Montigo Resorts Nongsa
If you have a few days to spare in Batam,
I highly recommend a 'split stay'.
First Half: Stay near Nagoya Hill for budget-friendly hotels, shopping, and delicious local eats!
Second Half: Indulge in pure relaxation at a 5-star luxury resort.
I wanted to spend at least two days without stepping foot outside the resort, simply swimming and unwinding in peace. That's why I chose Montigo Resorts, Nongsa, one of Batam's most renowned luxury properties.
Since the resort is located at the far end of the island, quite a distance from Nagoya Hill,
I suggest starting your trip with a stay near Nagoya Hill for convenience.

🏠 Why Montigo Resorts Nongsa Was My Pick

While Montigo Nongsa might be considered pricier by local Batam standards due to the island's generally low cost of living,
when you compare it to typical accommodation costs back home, it's a place where you'll exclaim,
'This quality for THIS price?!'
1. Private, Standalone Pool Villas
2. Each Villa Boasts a Private Plunge Pool
3. All-in-One Resort Experience
Multiple restaurants, diverse activities
4. Unbeatable Value
It might be expensive within Batam, but honestly, it feels like this level of luxury is only possible at this price point because it's Batam.

✨ Room Condition: Our Grand Three-Story Sanctuary
Stepping into the villa, I was immediately struck by its impressive size.
Ground Floor: Living room, private plunge pool, a small kitchen (no cooking allowed), and a half-bathroom.
Tip: While the private plunge pool is cozy, it's incredibly photogenic – definitely an 'Instagram hotspot'!

Second Floor: Two bedrooms! The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, while the smaller room has two single beds. Each comes with its own private bathroom. The main bathroom even has a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak!
Third Floor (Rooftop): Although it's a simple rooftop, the unobstructed views are breathtaking. It's the ideal spot to simply gaze at the sea and let your thoughts drift away!
🍽️ Breakfast & Public Pool

🍳 Breakfast (Main Restaurant by the Pool) Enjoying breakfast with an ocean view is truly the stuff of dreams. The menu offers a wide variety of options. To be honest, it wasn't a 'wow, this is amazing!' culinary experience, perhaps just a tiny bit short of perfection, but the view more than made up for it, and it was certainly satisfying.

🏊♂️ Public Pool & Bar This is truly the highlight! It's a massive infinity pool, easily over 300 feet long, and with hardly anyone around, it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. After a refreshing swim, ordering a mango juice from the adjacent bar... ah, it felt like all my fatigue just melted away!

🛺 Service & Walking Trails When you need to get around the resort, simply call for a buggy via WhatsApp, and they'll arrive promptly. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive – truly impressive! After breakfast, the beachside walking trail below is perfect for a leisurely stroll and some fun 'chase me' style photos. Haha!
✅ Highly Recommended for These Travelers!
Friends/Couples: Those seeking a private getaway to enjoy exclusively with their companions.
Family Trips: Families with children who want a spacious, standalone villa for a comfortable stay.
Wellness Seekers: Anyone desiring a luxurious resort experience as a treat, but without the hefty price tag.
🌟 Overall Rating: "Why Haven't You Visited Yet?"
"It's so good. Why isn't it packed with people?" That's how satisfied I was with my stay. I would absolutely, 200% return! Montigo Nongsa truly recharged my batteries. I'm ready to work hard again this year so I can come back for another visit! 💪
