Getting there is a breeze! From Senado Square, it's about a 10-15 minute walk following Google Maps. With so many tourists and clear signage, even first-time visitors will find it easy to navigate.

As you make your way up to the Ruins of St. Paul's, you'll pass through a lively street lined with shops selling jerky and souvenirs. This is Jerky Street!

The best part? Almost every shop offers free samples of their jerky. It's so much fun to walk along, trying a piece here and a piece there – a truly unique tasting experience!

The jerky was incredibly delicious, and I was tempted to buy some to take home. However, it's important to remember that many countries have strict regulations on importing meat products. So, unfortunately, I had to satisfy myself with enjoying the samples right there in Macau!

After indulging in all that savory jerky, I was craving something sweet. An egg tart was the perfect solution!

Wow... whether it was the sweet and savory combo effect or just pure deliciousness, the egg tart was incredible! Crispy on the outside, and wonderfully sweet and creamy on the inside. It hit all the right notes!

Honestly, I found the egg tarts from Koi Kei Bakery on Jerky Street to be even more delicious than the famous Lord Stow's at The Venetian. But that's just my taste buds talking! 😉

My Experience at the Ruins of St. Paul's

Standing at the bottom of the grand staircase and looking up at the Ruins of St. Paul's, the sheer scale and intricate details of the facade alone are awe-inspiring. It's truly magnificent!

After climbing the stairs, don't just admire the front. Head around to the back of the facade, and you'll find a small museum and a crypt located underground.

Inside, you can view various sculptures, religious artifacts, and even the relics of martyrs housed in the crypt. While it's not a huge exhibition, it's completely free to enter.

I highly recommend taking the time to explore the museum and crypt behind the main facade. It offers a deeper understanding of the site's rich history and is well worth the extra few minutes!

Here's a fantastic secret photo spot for the Ruins of St. Paul's: the window on the second floor, right near the fitting rooms in Uniqlo!
